Welcome to our Newsletter
It was a colourful and giving end to our week. Our Harvest Assembly today saw the children dressed in their fruit and vegetable coloured clothing sharing poems and singing some wonderful songs- I especially liked Harvest Rock and Roll! The Macmillan Coffee morning that followed saw parents and families giving generously when purchasing cakes from our Bake Off. In true Crestwood Park style, everyone was smiling and enjoying the chance to get together and make a difference. Thank you all.. we do always love it when our family can come together in such a way.
Happy Birthday to you...
We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to...Lola, Charlie, Rosie, Ashley and Jenson who have celebrated his birthday this week.

Bake Off Champion Crowned!
Congratulations to Rhylee and Ameliya who are our Bake off Champions 2023 with their delicious cheesecake!
Well done to you both - what a great team effort!
Also, a big well done to Lennox and Darius who were our Key Stage 1 & 2 runners-up!
Keep up the fantastic baking!
Our 'Bake Off' judges Mandy and Pat had a tedious morning taste testing the cakes!
Healthy Eating Day - Friday 29th September
Yoga Club *LAST CHANCE TO TRY*
We still have a few remaining spaces at our Yoga club on a Monday with external provider Emilie.
There are only 3 weeks left but if your child wanted to give it a go, they can!
The club is after school on a Monday 3.20pm - 4:20pm and will cost £3.00 per session.
If you would like your child to take part in the remaining few weeks, then head to your T2P app where you will be able to make payment.
Parents Evening - Wednesday 4:00 - 7:30pm
Parent's evening will be held on Wednesday 4th October between 4-7.30pm.
In previous years we have organised for the book fair to be here as an opportunity to purchase new books. However, this year we have decided to organise our own Book Swap.
Any books donated will be available in the school hall for you to browse and take home during parents evening.
Alternatively - if you have any books you would like to donate in hope of them finding a new home, please hand them to your class teacher before or after school.
A selection of school uniform will be available in the hall.
We will also have some of the food we currently serve at lunchtime for you to taste. We are looking to bring our catering in-house. This will mean we have more freedom with our menu. So please pop into the hall, try some of our food and let us know your likes and dislikes! There will be a survey available for you to fill in with your menu recommendations.

5p Fridays
What a great start to out 5p Fridays!
This year, each class has decided upon a charity to support. We are really promoting social action as part of our school improvement plan, so this fits perfectly with our intention to perform acts of kindness.
Therefore, the money raised by each class through collecting 5ps will then be sent to the charity they have chosen.

Teachers2Parents - I0SV17 Update (iPhone)
There seems to be in issue with the compatibility of the new iPhone software update - IOSV17 and the T2P app.
The new update appears to restrict access and not allow you to book meals - T2P are working on a fix for this but if you have any issues booking meals, please speak to the school office.
Finally...
As I sign off this week, I want to once again thank you all for your continued support of events we hold in school. This week as parents, you have been asked to bake cakes, support our Harvest Assembly and Healthy Eating Day, give to Macmillan Cancer and send in 5p's to support our 5p Friday initiative! Quite an ask, but you have all risen to the occasion and we really do appreciate it. I think it sends such a powerful message to our children that....
" Happiness doesn't result from what we get, but what we give."
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
