Black Country Food Bank
BCFB are pleased to announce the launch of their Harvest 2025 campaign. Harvest is their biggest campaign of the year, when they hope to fill their shelves with food and toiletry donations to help see them through the winter.
This time of year brings its own set of challenges as fuel bills increase with the colder temperatures and high food costs continue to impact our community. As a result, demand for our foodbanks remains steady, as many individuals and families continue to struggle to afford even the most basic necessities.
If you are able to arrange a collection of food and toiletry items this year for their Harvest 2025 campaign it would be really appreciated. For ideas on what items they need, have a look at their Harvest 2025 shopping list. If you have any questions, please call 01384 671250.
Support from schools across the Black Country is key to helping them during the Harvest Festival. This year, instead of a book, they have created a new short film called “People Helping People”, which explains:
- Why people use food banks
- What happens at food banks
- How young people can help those in need in their local community
