I hope you had a lovely, relaxing half term year 2 and that you've got up to some nice things. We are back at our home learning for the 6th week now, but hopefully it won't be for too much longer! I miss you all very much but I am always looking forward to our next Teams meeting, which is Tuesday at 4pm. It is great to see you all there and reminds me of what it's like to all be in school together. Remember if you need anything or would like to send me some of what you've been up to you can email abullas@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk If you are finding the work too easy or too challenging then please let me know so that I can help you. Always remember:
Even if we can't be together right now,
I am STILL proud of you.
I am STILL here.
I AM STILL YOUR TEACHER 🌈
The Home Learning in Year 2 'How to Guide'
In each week, there are 4 tabs
-Welcome- This is where my email address is (look in the section above)
-English
-Maths
-Curriculum
The English, maths and curriculum tabs are split into days of the week. On Monday, try to do Monday's activity, on Tuesday do Tuesday's and so on.
In the English and maths section there are compulsory and recommended activites:
-Compulsory= We would like you to do these every day if you can.
-Recommended= These will be good practise for children but only do them if you have the time. You might do them once a week, you might do them every day, it's up to you.
In maths, I have included some 'Quick Wins'. These are activites you can do if you are really pushed for time, but can afford 5 minutes. There are also 'Daily Challenges' in the maths section. These are recommended, so you don't have to do them every day if you don't have time.
In curriculum, there is one activity set for each day. Do this as often as you can. They will often be a bit more practical than some of the maths and English work.
If you have completed all of this and you want more there are some Purple Mash tasks set for everyday. These are optional, only do these if you have time.
I know some of you are using workbooks from Mrs Kennedy. That's fine, you can do these instead of using the class webpage if you prefer. Please still take pictures of what you are doing and send them to me via email or school life.
If you are having a difficult week and are struggling to complete even the compulsory tasks, please don't worry. I know how hard this is!! Keep in touch using my email address above and I'll do all I can to help you.
And finally...
When you reach Friday and you're ready to sign off for the week, please enjoy this song. It's a bit of a different pace this week, but the sentiments mean a lot to me and I hope they will to you too. It is so important to remember to 'shower the people you love with love, show them the way you feel.'
