Welcome to our Newsletter
I would like to open this week's newsletter by paying tribute to just how talented our children are. This week, I have visited and taught in classrooms where children have impressed me with their knowledge, particularly in Geography. And last night we were all blown away by the talent displayed by some of our pupils at our annual Talent Show.
With only two weeks left of this half term, a reminder to our families that Friday 14th February is an INSET Day and so school closes for half term on Thursday 13th February.
There is still time for the children to earn AWARE points, so please check the poster below for how all ten points can be achieved. AWARE badges will then be presented in our Achievement Assembly which will be held at 9.00am on Thursday 13th February.
Next Friday is Music Day in school, and we are also thinking about mental health, so children can wear a ‘happy’ colour instead of their uniform on this day. More details of this and more can be read below….so… keep on scrolling!
Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to William and Chloe who have celebrated their birthdays this week or will be celebrating over the weekend.

We are very lucky to have such wonderful talent at Crestwood Park - get preparing for next year!

Well done to all the children who took part and thank you to the parents who supported this by sending entry forms into school.

Harlen has been enjoying reading at the moment. He even read to his cats! They were a very well behaved audience - they must have been enjoying Harlen's story. Well done Harlen. Keep up the excellent reading!

Whilst visiting Birmingham Museum at the weekend, Eve settled down to read a book in the reading area located in the Wild City display. She also drew some fantastic pictures. Well done Eve.

Meet the staff

Finally...
As I wrap up this week's newsletter can I once again acknowledge all of the hard work that goes into creating such memorable moments at Crestwood Park.
From outstanding performances on stage last night, to achievements in competitions, to acts of kindness and team work, we certainly have a school full of bright minds and big hearts.
Go shine bright this weekend everyone!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
