Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, we made it to the end of what will be the longest half term of this academic year! And boy, did we cram a lot in! A Harvest Assembly, a Coffee Morning, Healthy Eating Day, Art Day, a trip to The Black Country Museum, Bikeability and School Council Elections have been just some of the events taking place.

We have also seen lots of children making really good progress with their reading this term -please keep this up and continue to do some reading over half term too.

Next term promises to be even more busy. The first few events of next term involve us supporting two very important charities- Children in Need and World Diabetes Day. We appreciate that we will be asking for donations quite close together, so please just give what you can afford. We have tried to ensure that there is no expectation to have to go out and spend money in order to take part in these days. To find out more about what is planned, please read on…

Happy Birthday to you...

We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to...Jaylen, Mikel, Nicholas and Esme who have celebrated his birthday this week or will be celebrating over the weekend.

We would also like to wish Lotte, Harry C, Lillie, Harry A and Fearne a Happy Birthday, who will be celebrating during half term!

We have had another wonderful week in school and would like to wish you all a happy safe half term. This week we would like to share the BBC parents Toolkit for mindfulness. But why not take a look at the website, it is full of different activities and helpful tips.

We have also attached what is going on in our local area, there are some free activities to keep your little ones entertained.

A big thank you for all of your support, look forward to seeing you all after half term - have fun!

Children In Need

On Friday 17th November, the school council have organised the following activities for children in need:

It will be 50p to enter and there will be prizes for the best entries.

2. Make a donation to have crazy hair for the day!

3. Bring in some pennies to fill in our Pudsey bear!

Celebrating our children's work

Year 1 have been watching 'Batfink' in Drawing Club. They designed a new machine for the mad scientist. Beatrice has created such a great invention, and made a question password and a number password that is a fact family. Beatrice has worked so hard on this as you can see below.

Beatrice's question password makes her invention turn pink and the fact family password makes it invisible.

Well Done Beatrice.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
