Welcome to our Newsletter

This week ended with a heart-warming Harvest Assembly and our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. The children performed their Harvest songs brilliantly. This was then followed with the opportunity for families to buy our ‘Bake Off’ cake entries- see below for who our star bakers were this year. Thank you so much to parents who were patient when queuing for cakes and hot drinks. Your patience paid off and we once again raised a remarkable amount for Macmillan Cancer- keep reading for the total raised!

Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Hallie, Charlie, Jayden and Rosie O who have celebrated their birthday this week or will be over the weekend.

Good News - The Book Fair is back in town!

During our Parent's Evening, the book fair will be taking place in the hall.

Each class will have a chance to look through the books available during school time to see if there are any books that take their fancy!

We really appreciate you spending money on the book fair as school get a percentage of the money back to be spent on books.

The Year 6 Reading Ambassadors will help spend the rewards by choosing books suitable for our libraries in school.

This year, we will have a card machine, but we will also accept cash.

Thank you in advance for supporting the book fair.

Pastoral Update

Hello everyone, we hope you are all well?

This week has seen the beginning of our nurture groups, it has been wonderful to see our children getting to know each other and taking part in various activities.

Our theme for this terms wellbeing is to connect.  Connecting with others is important for our mental health.
  • It promotes closer friendships.
  • Builds an emotional support system.
  • Give you a sense of belonging.
  • Increases confidence.
Our Macmillan coffee morning has been a great way to connect with others.  We would love to hear about ways that you have connected with others over the weekend. Why not visit a family member or friend and spend time chatting with them and really get to know them.  Can't wait to hear what you have been up to.  Have a lovely weekend, take care, lots of love from the Pastoral Team xxx

Meet the staff

Finally...

Baking, singing, supporting and donating, have all been on show this week. As I sign off, I would like to acknowledge and thank you all for being so generous- it means a lot. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend xxx

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
