Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

The weather this week has lifted all of our spirits and we're really hoping that the lovely sunshine is here to stay! Our final assembly of this term this morning was also a ray of sunshine for us all- we certainly have children who bring sunshine into our school every day!  Such wonderful comments were made about our golden certificate children and the whole school sang a wonderful rendition of 'Top of the World'. It really was a super way to end the week! Next term sees an action packed calendar at Crestwood Park. More details are below- it promises to be fun filled and very busy! I am also aware that parents are already beginning to think ahead to who might be teaching and supporting their children next year- rest assured we will be communicating with you early next term our staffing arrangements for September 2023!

Happy Birthday to you...

We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to...George, Grace and Ben who have celebrated their birthday this week or will be celebrating over the weekend.

& Happy Birthday to Oliver, Paisley, Grace, Arthur, Jackson, Rosie and Joshua who will be celebrating during Half Term!

Increased lateness in school

We are noticing an increase in lateness; at Crestwood Park we expect children to arrive at school between 8.40 and 8:50am.

By 8:50am all children should be in their classes. If children arrive between 8:55 and 9:10am they will be marked as 'L' on the register for authorised lateness.

If they arrive late after 9:10am, they will be marked as a ‘U’ for unauthorised late. Late children will also have to catch up and complete the morning registration task at the start of lunchtime.

If a child reaches 5 'Lates' during a school year, we will not authorise anymore and further lateness will be classed as unauthorised absence for a whole morning. At this point, parents will be contacted, in order to discuss actions/support needed to resolve lateness.

If you have any questions, please contact ajohnson1@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk.

Looking after our wellbeing

We have enjoyed a beautiful sunny week and fingers crossed it continues into half term.

A huge thankyou to all of the children who have been taking on our keep active challenges. Let's try to continue to support our mental health, whether that is by enjoying the outdoors, dancing, playing sport, having fun with the family, bike riding and really anything you can do to keep moving.

We have included a list of local activities and groups, some of which are free to keep you entertained over half term and are in the Dudley Borough.  Why not try something new?

We hope you all have a wonderful break, don't forget your suncream and sun hat, keep safe and look after each other. Looking forward to seeing you all back soon.

Lots of Love The Pastoral Team xxx

Celebrating Our Children's Work

In Reception, all our children work so hard everyday with their phonics. During 'Drawing Club' Ella used her phonic knowledge to write her special password.

As you can see, she has used 'sh' and 'qu' perfectly. She also created a fantastic picture, what a great imagination.

Well Done Ella

House Challenges

In preparation for an exciting house challenge in a few weeks' time, we are looking to gather as many resources as possible.

If you would be prepared to donate or could collect any of the following for us, we would be most grateful.

Please hand to classroom staff. We look forward to sharing our finished products with you soon!
  • Sticky Tape
  • Lolly sticks
  • Egg boxes
  • Toilet roll middles
  • Kitchen roll middles
  • Plastic or paper disposable cups

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
