We made it!
Last night's Witches and Wonders Disco was a wonderfully spectacular way to end this half term. Wow- the costumes were amazing- well, very gruesome actually! Thanks to the parents of the HSA who helped to organise and supervise the event. Our Professor also led the games superbly!
Today's Achievers Assembly once again highlighted how successful a term it has been for so many children in school. Not only was I able to present the Achievers certificates to some very deserving pupils , but I also had the pleasure of awarding a record amount of SMART SPARKS badges.
Next term we will be awarding POLITE points, and setting some polite challenges, so watch this space for updates!
Talking of updates, this newsletter contains updated information regarding after school clubs for after the half term. Scroll down to view a calendar that we hope will help you to see what is on offer when!
Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Jaylen and Mikel who have celebrated their birthday this week or will be over the weekend.
We would also like to wish Maisie, Nicholas, Esme, Lotte, Harry and Lillie who will be celebrating during Half Term.

Mrs Cadman's English News.
Half Term Challenge.
Half term is upon us and now is a great chance to snuggle up with a book to read with your child.
The challenge I am setting for the half term is to get reading with an autumnal theme - Take a photograph of your child reading a book.
If you go out for a walk amongst the trees, you could take a book or if your child dresses up for Halloween - get them to read a book whilst in their costume.
Then send the photos to acadman@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk
I will display these photos on our English board in school.

Writing Journals
This week, children from Year 2 to Year 6 have received a writing journal. I have set a writing task for the children to complete - which many of them were eager to start when they got their journals.
After my task, children can use their journals to write about anything. They can add illustrations - use different coloured pens. But most of all, I want them to enjoy writing and have fun with it! Please encourage your child to write and share their writing with you.
I'm looking forward to reading some of their pieces after half term!

Pastoral update

Meet the staff

Poppy Appeal

When we return after half term, we will be selling poppies, slap bands, bracelets and other various items in aid of the Royal British Legion to support Remembrance Sunday on 10th November. Items are £1.00 - £2.00.
We will be selling them from the hut in the KS1 playground before and after school. We do have limited supplies so when they have gone, they have gone!
Don't forget that we will also be holding a special Remembrance Sunday assembly on Friday 8th November.
Tigers end this half term as winners- who will be the overall winner and receive the House Team prize at the end of next term?

Finally...
Wishing you all a happy half term holiday!
Look forward to seeing you all back on Monday 4th November.
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
