Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, we made it - the half term holiday is upon us!

Our Witches and Wonder Disco last night proved extremely popular, and the costumes were amazing, infact very scary! Thanks to our parent helpers and to Mr Davies for organising all the games. Our children are very good at musical statues! Thank you to those parents who had to make several journeys to and from school due to having children in both key stages. I hope you feel it was worth it; the children did all have such a fun time. Our hall cannot safely accommodate the whole school for a disco at the same time, therefore we have always split it into two events.

Our Achievement Assembly today brought this half term to a fitting close. It was great to be able to reward lots of different achievements, including our Smart Sparks and 100% attendance pupils.

A good week here at Crestwood Park for competitive sport.

We started the week with our first league game of the school season Vs The Dingle. A good competitive game with Crestwood Park winning 6-3. Evan picking up the player of the match award and Jenson picking up the parents player award. A big shout out to Hassan for scoring 4 goals.

Then we had a Tag-Rugby competition where many schools played against each other. We had a record of 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses. But overall some good performances from our team. Well Done!

Mrs Cadman's News!

Competitions!

Over the half term break, I'm sure some of you will be getting into the 'Halloween Spirit'.

For my Autumn competition, I would like you to write a poem either based on Halloween or Autumn time.

You can either write it down and give it to me after half term, or get your parents to take a photo and email it to me.

Please send all entries in by the 4th November.

Also, if you visit the library over the holiday, please send me a photo of you choosing a book.  Remember there are lots of fantastic books on offer to borrow at our local libraries.

Parents, take a moment to enjoy a book - let your children see you reading or take time to read as a family.

Have a lovely half term.

Mrs Cadman

A SPECIAL MENTION...

Henry took part in a kids event to raise money for Halesbury School where his cousin attends. He met lots of children today and really enjoyed looking around the provision.
He told some groups of children about his fundraising and they had some thank you cards to give to him!
He donated a total of £2,221 towards their new minibus fund.

Well Done Henry!

House Points

It is the end of the first half term and the team in the lead is........

Thinking of having a sort out over the half term before Christmas?

We have signed up to the Rags2Riches4Schools recycling scheme, to help others around the world benefit from our good quality unwanted clothes and shoes. The money we raise from every kilo of clothes we collect will go towards our school and we would be most grateful if you could help us with this challenge at home.

Bags of clothes can be handed in to the school office FROM MONDAY 3rd NOVEMBER due to storage. The bags are being collected on WEDNESDAY 5th NOVEMBER so please do not bring in bags later than this date.

Please help us to help others and raise much needed funds for our school.

Thank you for your continuing support.

Please read carefully the Forest School kit list. We advise that years 1 & 2 can arrive in their forest school clothes and bring school uniform to change into after the session. Years 3,4,5 & 6 will wear school uniform as normal to school and bring their forest school clothes in a separate bag.

Please be aware that in some sessions, children will get wet and muddy therefore, please bring a separate coat for the session for your child to wear, keeping their school coat dry and clean for break and lunchtimes.

To participate in the session the following must be adhered to, strictly no denim or open toed shoes in any season this also includes crocs, long hair to be tied up, jewellery and earrings to be removed and finally NO school uniform to be worn to a Forest School session.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to me.

Many thanks

Mr A Barnett
Forest School Practitioner

Anyone can have the dreaded... head lice.

We have had a donation of Full Marks head lice treatments. If you or your child/children are unfortunate enough to get them, please contact spriest@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk and I will arrange for you to collect a bottle from the school office or call (01384) 818315

Finally...

Happy Half term!

After a term of working hard, it's time to relax, recharge, and enjoy some autumn adventures.

See you after the break!
