Welcome to our Newsletter
Another week has flown by and it has been another week where I have been so impressed with the children in school. The way that they are demonstrating how much more aware they are of how they can play their part to protect our environment, has been amazing. In my assemblies earlier this week, we were able to share all of the pro- active measures everyone is taking in order to become real eco- warriors! From recycling more plastic, to creating climate change posters, it is great that our school is rising to the challenge of doing ‘our bit’ to help our planet.
Another impressive event was the year 1 class assembly this morning. The children certainly rose to the occasion and wowed us with their knowledge of important History Makers- especially Guy Fawkes. Their rendition of ‘Firework’ was also very entertaining!
Thinking ahead to next week, I know for sure that we are going to be impressed by the talent on offer at our annual Talent Show! Congratulations to all of the acts who have successfully made it through to perform. Please see below for more information about the event including how to purchase tickets…
Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Ellie Rae, Nelly and Emma who have celebrated their birthdays this week or will be celebrating over the weekend.

Mrs Cadman's English News
It was lovely to receive a photo following the wonderful Geography Day last Friday of Mia. She was so inspired by all the activities on Friday, that she went home and found out her Geography books and even did some more reading about Africa! Well done Mia.
In my assembly next week, I will be awarding certificates for all those children who took part in the Writing Competition before Christmas. Watch this space, as I will be announcing the children who have been awarded a special award - a Highly Commended award for their writing!
In the meantime, please keep reading at home with your child and encourage them to write - I always enjoy reading what they have written!

Meet the staff

Finally...
After another week where I have seen such commitment and energy from all of our children, I want to urge them all to enjoy the weekend ahead, rest up, and come back refreshed on Monday!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
