Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

For such a short half term, we have still managed to have some wonderful highlights, none more so than yesterday’s Sports Day. It was a fantastic way for our children to showcase their sporting and competitive skills, supported by families in such a positive way. Thank you for all of the lovely feedback- we too feel  that the event was a success. Thank you to all of our staff and volunteers who organise our children and the races so proficiently. Also, a big thank you to our HAS parents who manned the refreshment hut!

Today, we did say a couple of goodbyes to two of our staffing team. Miss Obertelli is leaving to commence her maternity leave, and Jordan is leaving her post as lunchtime supervisor. We were able to present them with our gifts as part of our Achiever’s Assembly  morning… keep scrolling to see their photos!

Next term is lengthier and dare I say it… even busier! So please keep reading these newsletters, cheeking our school calendar and your sch.life app to ensure you to keep updated!

Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Yen and George who have celebrated their birthday this week.

Sports Day 2025

What a fantastic day we all had for our annual Sports Day yesterday.  We were very lucky with the weather - not too hot, and only a sprinkling of rain.

The children were fantastic; supporting their house team, taking part in a variety of races and showing perseverance.

Thank you to families who came to watch and well done to the adults who took part in the parent race (we hope that you aren't too achy today!)

Thank you also to those who purchased refreshments - over £170 was raised - which will be going towards our KS1 playground area.  Thank you to the HSA for organising this.

Our Reception and Key Stage 1 winners were the Rhinos and in Key Stage 2, we had a tie - Polar Bears and Tigers.

Well done to all the children - everyone was a winner yesterday for taking part.

Our SPARKS!

It was fantastic to see all those children in assembly today receiving their KIND Sparks badges today.

Well done!

Next term, we will be focusing on being SAFE!

Pastoral Update

🌷🌼🌸THE PASTORAL TEAM NEED YOUR HELP! 🌷🌼🌸

We hope you have all had a lovely week, just a reminder that we are taking part in the Eco Flower Festival at Holy Trinity Church, Wordsley.

HOLY TRINITY ECO FLOWER FESTIVAL - from 13th to 15th June 2025

As we're coming up to half term, we're thinking you might have a little time to spare 🙂 This year we are so proud to be taking part in the Eco Flower festival.   Anyone can take part... children, mums, dads, grandparents, aunties and uncles anyone who is creative and talented.

Whilst being creative you can also be looking after our world by  creating  flowers from recycled materials, i.e. plastic bottles, cups, plastic or wooden spoons, old magazines, kitchen roll holders, material from old clothes, wool etc.  Basically anything that can be reused/recycled. These will then be put together for a collective piece to be displayed in the church from 13th June.

Please can we ask that any of your creations are brought into school by 9th June so that we can put them all together to make a collective piece.

We hope Crestwood Parks display will wow our local community!  Can't wait to see your beautiful creations.

Stay safe and look after each other, lots of love The Pastoral Team xxx💚

Saying Goodbye......

Today we said goodbye to Jordan - who has been a lunchtime supervisor here for the past two years.

We want to thank you and wish you luck for the future.

Today we said good bye and good luck to Miss Obertelli who is leaving us to have a baby.

We are going to miss her, but can't wait to meet baby Charlie when he arrives.

We wish her all the luck as she starts her maternity leave and I'm sure we will see her soon.

A message from Mr Powell!

Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools Clothing Collection

Thinking of having a sort out over the half term?

We have signed up to the Rags2Riches4Schools recycling scheme, to help others around the world benefit from our good quality unwanted clothes and shoes. The money we raise from every kilo of clothes we collect will go towards our school and we would be most grateful if you could help us with this challenge at home.

Bags of clothes can be handed in to the school office FROM MONDAY 9th JUNE due to storage. The bags are being collected on THURSDAY 12TH JUNE so please do not bring in bags later than this date.

Please help us to help others and raise much needed funds for our school.

Thank you for your continuing support.

House Points

Rhinos are currently in the lead, with Tigers and Pandas in joint second, but not far behind are the Polar Bears.

Who's going to earn the most house points in the next 7 weeks?

Finally...

I hope you all enjoy your half term break- whether you're resting, exploring, having fun at home or away...enjoy and stay safe.

See you soon!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
