Welcome to our Newsletter
Well, I think it’s fair to say this week has been largely about the weather! We stayed open and everyone pulled together to ensure the children were kept safe in the snow and ice! A little fun was had too! It goes without saying that we do expect children to attend school every day. On snowy days, we do not mark lates in the usual way, and we really do promote the saying…' better late than never!’ So please do always try to make the best efforts to get your children here, no matter what time.
Year 3’s class assembly this morning was a true mix of entertainment and education. I’m sure you’ll agree if you were there, that we learned so much about the human body, and we especially enjoyed watching those muscles move!
We are entering the last four weeks of term next week and it promises to be a truly busy build up to Christmas in school! Keep checking your sch.life app as I know messages about the Christmas Market, Christmas performances, Breakfast with Santa, and a whole host of other Christmas events will be coming your way. This newsletter also serves as a way of us keeping you up to date and informed, so please read on…..
Happy Birthday to you...

Book Donations
We have added to our book shelves this week with some lovely books that have been kindly donated by a parent of an ex-pupil.
Our Reading Ambassadors labelled them up and popped them on the shelves for all the children to enjoy.
If you have any books at home, which are in good condition and you no longer want, please send them in.

Snowy Writing Challenge
It would be lovely to see some writing associated with the SNOW that we have had this week - you might want to write a poem, a story or some instructions of how to build a snowman! Bring them to me and I will read some in our assembly next week.

Hello and Goodbye....

Miss Cotter signing off...

Today has been my last day at Crestwood Park Primary School π
Although it is a sad day, I will always cherish the memories I have made here, and I am so glad I have been apart of the Crestwood Park Family.
To be able to go to work and smile every day has been a blessing and I will miss every single one of you.
I will still see you around, but I will be in mom mode instead of Miss Cotter from the office!π
I wish you all the best and I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!π
Lots of Love, Miss Cotter xxx
Children in Need

We raised £182.20!
Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising!
A special mention to Mia in Year 1 who donated her money from the tooth fairy! How very kind of you.
Due to her kind gesture, a family friend matched her donation! So thank you to Mia who donated an extra £10 to Children In Need.

Finally...
In a snowy week at Crestwood Park, I want to use a quote from the film Frozen to sum up how proud I am that we always pull together and make the best of every situation.
In the words of Olaf...
'Some people are worth melting for.'
Look after yourselves this weekend and we look forward to more excitement next week.. Christmas Market and Science Day are just around the corner!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
