Welcome to our Newsletter
Well, it has been a week of celebrations! As well as celebrating World Downs Day, Achievers and Easter- today saw us spend a whole day celebrating 50 years of Crestwood Park Primary. What an amazing day it has been!
Our morning assembly took our audience- past staff members included- on a journey through the 5 decades of Crestwood Park. Our Reception children showcased a film of how Crestwood Park now looks from their eyes. It was then rounded off perfectly with a year 6 dance to 'We are Family' which the whole school later learned. For the finale, our choir performed 'Sing' accompanied by the whole school and everybody agreed that it was one of the best assemblies they had ever seen!
A memory room, photo booth, graffiti wall, obstacle course, staff quiz, beat the goalie and parachute games were just some of the things on offer today. Every class has contributed something to mark the special day. All children have been given a keepsake of the day too- a lovely wooden commemorative medal- kindly sourced by our HSA.
The end to the day was also pretty special - the children danced and sang their hearts out on the playground as parents watched on, and it was all captured on camera by a news reporter from the Express and Star! Look out for the clip on their website and the news article in either tomorrow or Monday's newspaper.
Before then, take a look at the photos that appear later on in the newsletter to help you get a flavour of the day!

Breaktime Tuck - NO CASH ALERT - It's no yolk!

From Monday 8th April, we will not be accepting any cash payments for toast and milkshakes.
These breaktime tuck items will need to be booked and paid for on the Teachesr2Parents app. This system does require orders to be placed by 12 midnight the night before. We have no control over this. There is no option to pay on the day.
Thank you to parents who are already using this facility. π£
Our decision to go cashless is to improve breaktimes for staff but more importantly children. A cashless system eases the pressures of handling, counting and accounting for children's money. It will also mean NO MORE QUEUING FOR TUCK! Children will not have to spend their breaktimes in a queue, because as we know orders in advance, we can deliver the items directly to their classrooms at the start of breaktime.

Thank you for everyone who made donations towards our Foodbank Friday!

Finally...
π£ Today I write my signing off message to this final newsletter of the spring term as a very proud Headteacher. Watching today's events unfold and showing special visitors around school highlighted as always what a truly special place Crestwood Park Primary School is.
In the words of a song I have heard more than once today... ''We are Family!"
And, I would like to wish everyone who is part of our Crestwood Park Family a very Happy Easter!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
