Welcome to our Newsletter
This week, I am delighted to reveal that our Treetops play structure has now been completed and the children will be able to use it from next week. Please note, the equipment will only be used by the children during school hours, when it can be supervised by school staff. All children will get an opportunity to use it. Thanks in advance for your support in ensuring that your children do not play on the Treetops structure before or after school.
Today our school turned ‘blue’ for a belated celebration of World Diabetes Day. Heidi and Isabella from year 5 sold tickets for our blue themed raffle and I am pleased to announce that our winner was Darcie in year 4! Thank you to everyone who bought a raffle ticket in aid of Diabetes- a cause close to our heart.

Mrs Cadman's News!
Thank you to those who have sent in Rotary Competition entries. Please keep sending them in - the details are below.
The children will be completing the writing competition entries in school over the next few weeks. Forms will be sent home for you to complete so that each child's entry can be entered into the competition. So keep a lookout for those.
In the next week, children in Years 2,3,4,5 and 6, will be receiving a WRITING JOURNAL. These are for the children to use to explore writing for pleasure. Each half term, I will set a task for the children to complete in their journals, but for the rest of the time, children can use these journals to write stories, diary entries, poems, reports - whatever they would like to write about. They can take them home, but they will need to bring them back to school. We will encourage them to share their writing with us too!
Not only do we have a Relax and Read club running, but we also have a Jigsaw Puzzle club taking place for KS2 in the Year 6 classroom on a Thursday lunchtime. It's a great way to calm and keep the mind engaged.
Mia would recommend 'The Real Tilly Beany'. It was a favourite for her Mum when she was growing up. If you share books from your childhood with your children, please let me know and we can celebrate it on our newsletter!
Rotary Club Competitions
Each year we invite children to enter the Rotary Club competitions.
The theme is HAPPINESS IN NATURE.
We will be completing a writing competition for this in school time.
The art competition and photography competition, we ask that you have a go at these at home. You can then submit the entries in at school and we will send them off to be part of the competition.
All the information is below.
If you have any further questions, please email Mrs Cadman - acadman@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk

Enrolments for new starters are now open for lessons in school and at Cable Plaza in Spring Term starting January 2026. Enrolments are for new starters only. If you are already having lessons, no need to enrol again as lessons will carry on.
Please read carefully the Forest School kit list. We advise that years 1 & 2 can arrive in their forest school clothes and bring school uniform to change into after the session. Years 3,4,5 & 6 will wear school uniform as normal to school and bring their forest school clothes in a separate bag.
Please be aware that in some sessions, children will get wet and muddy therefore, please bring a separate coat for the session for your child to wear, keeping their school coat dry and clean for break and lunchtimes.
To participate in the session the following must be adhered to, strictly no denim or open toed shoes in any season this also includes crocs, long hair to be tied up, jewellery and earrings to be removed and finally NO school uniform to be worn to a Forest School session.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to me.
Many thanks

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
