Welcome to our Newsletter
At our Key Stage 2 Carol Service this morning, the children once again rose to the occasion and performed brilliantly. Like at the end of our Key Stage 1 Christmas Production, the finale was a wonderful rendition of Shakin Stevens’ ‘Merry Christmas Everyone!’ Thanks to members of our BSL club, who performed sign language to accompany this. It really was a fitting way to end this Autumn term.

Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Maisie, Thomas K, Laila-Rae, Stanley, Maya, Oliver, Lucas, Isabella H, Millie H, Jake, Betsy, Harper-Rose, Aaron and Ava who have celebrated their birthdays this week or will be over the Christmas and New Year break.

Primary Admissions - Reception 2026
We have been asked by Dudley Admissions team to remind parents of children due to start Reception class in September 2025 that the closing date is fast approaching - it is the 15th January 2025. There is still a significant number of parents who haven’t yet applied. Please pass this message on to others who may not have access to this Newsletter.
In Dudley children start primary school the September after their 4th birthday. The law states all children must start school by the beginning of the term after their 5th birthday.
For all school admissions we recommend that you apply online, this means you will receive your decision via email after 2pm on the offer date.
If there is anyone who may struggle with the online system, a paper application can be sent to the school.

Christmas Writing Challenge
You all know how much I love reading - so I would like to set you a writing challenge to complete over the Christmas break.
Your challenge is to write a Christmas story.
If you want an idea to start you off, you can use mine...
It was Christmas Eve and as Chloe lay on her bed, she could hear the sounds of her older brother creating a new song on his guitar, she could smell the sweet aromas of her mum's cooking and she could feel the breeze of the snowy wind drifting through the window. As she drifted in and out of sleep, she had a funny feeling someone was trying to call her name. Maybe she was dreaming, maybe it was the excitement of Christmas Day, or maybe there really was a small figure at the window calling her name......

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
