Welcome to our Newsletter
What a soggy end to the week! Our year 1 and year 2 children did not let the weather dampen their spirits on their trip to The Black Country Museum today though. Thanks to staff and volunteers who accompanied them as they explored houses, shops and transport from the past. As always, we had lots of comments from adults about the respect shown by our children. It is wonderful that our children really 'do us proud'. Please see below for some photographs of the day. Speaking of proud moments, one of our children was recognised in a special ABC assembly today for her remarkable act- read on to be amazed!

A Special Award for Millie!

Here we can see our amazing year 3 pupil- Millie- receiving a special community award. Millie attends St Johns Ambulance and put her first aid skills into real life practice earlier this term. When her mum fell unconscious, Millie calmly helped stop her mum from choking on her tongue and put her into the recovery position. Her actions helped to keep her mum alive. What a remarkable act! It has been recognised by school, by the community but also by royalty, as Millie is soon to visit Buckingham Palace to receive a special award from Princess Anne.

If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
