Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, this week has been a creative one in school. I have visited lots of classrooms where the children have been engaged in Art lessons, particularly enjoying doing some painting!

It’s also time for us to get creative and start baking! Our annual ‘Bake Off’ competition takes place this week. Please see below for more details. We really appreciate you taking the time to enter, as proceeds from the sale of these cakes, following our Harvest Assembly next Friday, will all be donated to Macmillan cancer.

Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Elsie-May and Isacc!

25th September- Bake Off

26th Assembly- Harvest Assembly and Coffee Afternoon

Crestwood Park does "BAKE OFF!"

25th September 2025

On Thursday 25th September Crestwood Park will be holding its annual ‘Bake Off’.

It will be for children and parents to enter together and you can enter any shop brought cake or bake what you wish: buns, muffins, sponges or scones whatever takes your fancy! During the day, our school cooks will be judging the entries.

Get those baking tins brushed up and get practising for those ‘Show Stoppers’ or ‘Signature Bakes’ that you all have in you and… BAKE!

Following on from our 'Bake Off', on Friday 26th during our Harvest Assembly we will be selling the cakes as part of our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. We will also announce the winners of the Bake Off!

So please do come along and bring nans, grandads, aunts and uncles to enjoy our Harvest assembly and Macmillan Coffee Afternoon.

Afterschool clubs.

After School Clubs are happening now! It's not too late to join.

Payments to be made on Teachers2Parents.

Don't forget swimming sessions are taking place for Year 6 children every Tuesday morning up until October Half Term.

Please read carefully the Forest School kit list. We advise that years 1 & 2 can arrive in their forest school clothes and bring school uniform to change into after the session. Years 3,4,5 & 6 will wear school uniform as normal to school and bring their forest school clothes in a separate bag.

Please be aware that in some sessions, children will get wet and muddy therefore, please bring a separate coat for the session for your child to wear, keeping their school coat dry and clean for break and lunchtimes.

To participate in the session the following must be adhered to, strictly no denim or open toed shoes in any season this also includes crocs, long hair to be tied up, jewellery and earrings to be removed and finally NO school uniform to be worn to a Forest School session.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to me.

Many thanks

Pastoral Update

We hope you have all had a lovely week and are keeping well?

Next week sees the start of Little Buddy groups and individual support.  By now you should have received a letter informing you that your child has been identified for support in a group or on a 1:1 basis. We can't wait to begin spending time with your children.

Should you have any questions or would like to see the meadow, please contact Sue Priest on (01384) 818315 or email spriest@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk and I will get back to you and soon as I can.

We hope you have a lovely weekend, look after each other, lots of love The Pastoral Team xx

Mrs Cadman's News!

It was lovely to receive some photographs over the weekend from Hallie and Mia, who were both celebrating Roald Dahl and the wonderful stories that he has written.

If you find an author that you enjoy, please let me know and we can recommend them to other children and try to get some copies for our library.

If you have any photos that you would like to share on the newsletter, please send them to me at acadman@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk

House Captains

We would like to introduce our new House Captains.

They have lead their first House Assembly, where they supported their house team, and they've also collected the house points.

Look for them around school - as they will be taking part and leading house challenges, sports events and more.

Finally...

With Autumn upon us, this week I'd like to sign off and wish you a weekend that is full of ..." hot drinks, cosy sweaters, crisp air and crunchy leaves!"

Please take a look at the newsletter titled "What's Going On In Our Community" for information regarding events in the local area!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
