Welcome to our Newsletter
A full week in school has flown by and it was wonderful to end it with a jam packed ABC assembly. Well done to all the recipients of awards- we not only had our Achievement, Behaviour and Commitment role models but it is also clear that we have some very talented mathematicians, dancers and swimmers to name just a few. Our brightness and generosity was also on display this week as the children dashed around our track in support of Muscular Dystrophy on Monday. Across school, our Local Area Study is well under way and parents, you will be able to view all of the children's learning at our exhibition- due to be held later on in the term. Our next invitational event to parents is our Sports Morning- this takes place just after half term- read on for more details!
Happy Birthday to you...

Looking after our wellbeing
Forest School

We were saddened that our Forest school sessions had to cease this term, due to circumstances out of our control.
However, we now have a plan moving forward. Mr Barnett is going to be undertaking the Outdoor Learning Level 3 Qualification in the Autumn term, which will mean we will have a qualified Forest School Leader to take our sessions!
So, we can confirm that Forest School will recommence after half term in October.
We are delighted that we will be able to continue to offer Forest School as part of our Crestwood Park Primary curriculum in the near future and thank you for your patience and understanding in the meantime.
Celebrating Our Children's Work

5p Fridays

5p Friday's are proving very successful! Every class is now well on the way to saving enough for their planned prize.
We will continue to ask for each child to bring in a 5 pence piece on a Friday. The children will take charge of counting the money and calculating how much more they need to reach their goal.
The challenge is to raise enough in order to be able to pay for their chosen reward. Please ask your children what their class are saving towards!
This will be a fantastic opportunity for each class to know the importance of budgeting, saving and spending!
There is no obligation for you to contribute, but it would be greatly appreciated!

A message from your HSA
Don't forget we are still looking for businesses who may want to support/attend our Get Together Picnic on Friday 7th July.
If you are able to pass these details on to anyone who you think may be interested and ask them to contact chsa@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk
Thank you

End of Term Sweet Stall - Friday 26th July

As before, we will be holding an End of Term Sweet Stall on Friday 26th May to reward all of your hard work this term!
Prices will range from 10p - £1.00.
Finally...
As I sign off this week, my message echoes the advice we have given our children during this Mental Health Awareness week.
Please remember, no matter how big or small a worry- you always have your Crestwood Park Family for support and in the words of Bobby McFerrin...
"Don't worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble But when you worry, you make it double Don't worry, be happy Don't worry, be happy now.."
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
