Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

Can you believe it is only one week until half term? It has been such a successful one and I must say that I have had unprecedented numbers of pupils coming to show me their amazing work and reaching the gold podium- well done everyone! As I read aloud the certificates in our ABC assembly this morning, one phrase was repeatedly used- that of having a 'can do attitude'. It is true, I have seen so many children giving their absolute best this week. What a great start to our school year it has been!

With one week to go, we are urging our children to continue show off their Smart Sparks- ask your children if they have, or are close to earning their 10 smart points. If so, they will be presented with a Smart Sparks badge in next Friday's Achievement Assembly.

We certainly have lots of smart sparks in school- read on to see who is performing well in TT Rock Stars and if you can solve Mrs Cadman's emoji quiz!

Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Tyler, Millie, Skyla, Jack, Alexander who have celebrated their birthday this week or will be over the weekend.

Mrs Cadman's English News.

I love to read a new picture book to the children during my weekly assemblies, but I also enjoy the good old classics.  So for a bit of fun this week, you and your child can take part in my emoji quiz.

Guess the 10 children's books from the emojis - write them down and hand them to me.

Reward = HOUSEPOINTS

I look forward to seeing your answers!

And maybe over the weekend, you could enjoy one of these stories together too.

Pastoral update

Another week has flown by and it is beginning to feel very autumnal.

COMPETITION TIME!

Our children have been invited to enter a competition to design a logo for Kingswinford in Bloom.

The logo should reflect the spirit of Kingswinford in Bloom and may include items such as nature, flowers, community and what is important to us about Kingswinford.

The winning design will become the official logo of Kingswinford in Bloom and will appear on all promotional materials, signage and social media platforms for Kingswinford.

The design can be handed in as a drawing on A4 paper or sent digitally to spriest@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk.

The winner will receive a certificate and will of course have their design made into the logo for Kingswinford leaving their mark on the village for all to see.

Please hand your entries into Mrs Priest, the closing date for the competition is 29th November.
We wish you all the very best of luck, start creating!

Have a lovely weekend, lots of love The Pastoral Team xxx

Can you help?

Are there any parents/carers or friends of Crestwood Park that would be able to help Mr Barnett cut/chop some logs in our forest school area?

We have some rather large logs but we don't have the equipment to cut them.

Any help would be appreciated!

Contact Mr Barnet on abarnett@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk or call 01384 818315 if you can help.

Thank you

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
