Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

Well, we made it to the end of another academic year!

One full of many highlights. Looking back through our weekly newsletters, reveals a calendar full of both educational and character-building events.

As our year 6 children bid us farewell today, with a poignant final assembly, lots of parents commented on what incredible and memorable experiences they had had with us at Crestwood Park.

I would like to thank all parents and families for the lovely comments we have received in the last few days. We really do appreciate these, and we always strive to provide the very best for your children.

If you have not yet completed our end of year parents survey, we would love to hear from you, so please use the QR code contained in this newsletter to let us know your views and ideas for how we can make Crestwood Park even better.

We have welcomed a couple of new staff members this term, so please look out for the Meet the Staff posters in our September newsletter, which will help you to know a little more about Miss Whitehouse who has joined our Admin team and Claire, a newer (returning!) member of our lunchtime team.

Not only did we bid farewell to our year 6 class today, but we have also said goodbye to Mrs Round and Mrs Barrett. Their time teaching to cover the staff on maternity leave has come to an end. We would like to thank them for their hard a work and commitment this year and wish them well for their next teaching positions.

Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Nathan, Eden, Theo, Caspar, Teejay, Kaiden, Amber, Faith, William, Caelan, Jack, Samuel, Isabella, Jessica, Oakley, Jack-James, Alexander, Isabella, Isabella, Zakariya, Nancy-Mae, Kara, Ezmae, Lotty, Eva and Alfie who will celebrate their birthday over the summer holidays!

Attendance

We are excited to introduce our first week back Attendance Challenge designed to encourage our children to attend school regularly and be ready to learn each day! Consistent attendance is one of the most important factors for pupil success, and we want to celebrate and reward the efforts of our children in achieving great attendance. The challenge will run from Wednesday 3rd September to Friday 12th September, children will each have a reward card that will be stamped daily. If your child has ALL 8 stamps they will be entered into the class raffle for an extra special prize!

Pastoral Update

We have reached the end of our school year and have made so many precious memories along the way.

It has been a privilege to be a part of your children's journey. We would like to say a huge thankyou for working with us and supporting us.

One of our favourite stories in The Meadow is 'The Invisible String' for those of you that haven't heard the story please follow the YouTube link.

With lots of love The Pastoral Team...always remember we are always on the other end of your Invisible string ❤️ xxxx

Mrs Cadman's News!

I hope you all have a good break and the weather continues to be warm.

Please continue to read as a family over the holidays.  There is research to show that children will be more engaged with reading, if they see their parents/family members reading.

Please visit your local libraries over the summer and take part in the reading challenges.

Here's a link to the Summer Reading Challenges!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
