Welcome to our Newsletter

School Council elections took place this morning and I would like to congratulate the successful candidates. They are revealed below. One of their aims is to help lead our school towards achieving an eco-friendly award. Their photographs will appear in next week's newsletter and they will be presented with their School Councillor badges in Friday's Achievers Assembly.

As we enter the final week of this half term next week, there are still SMART Sparks points on offer. Please remember that any child who has earned 10 Smart Sparks points, will receive a new sparkly Smart star badge in next week's Achievers Assembly!

Please be aware that in some sessions, children will get wet and muddy therefore, please bring a separate coat for the session for your child to wear, keeping their school coat dry and clean for break and lunchtimes.

To participate in the session the following must be adhered to, strictly no denim or open toed shoes in any season this also includes crocs, long hair to be tied up, jewellery and earrings to be removed and finally NO school uniform to be worn to a Forest School session.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to me.

Many thanks

Anyone can have the dreaded... head lice.

We have had a donation of Full Marks head lice treatments. If you or your child/children are unfortunate enough to get them, please contact spriest@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk and I will arrange for you to collect a bottle from the school office or call (01384) 818315

School Council

Today we carried out the annual vote for school councillors.

All children who wanted to be considered for the role were invited to address their class with why they would be a good school councillor.

The first round of voting was completed in classes.  Then voted children were put through into the next round.

Today, each class has had the chance to make their final vote - see below for the results!

Congratulations to our new school councillors and well done to all those who put themselves forward to be considered for the position.

If it wasn't you this time.... it could be you next time!

Pastoral Update

We hope you are all well and have had a lovely week 💚

This week we would like to share ways to create and support self-esteem.  Creating a positive mindset is vital to keep ourselves mentally and physically healthy, it helps to build relationships, makes us stronger to make decisions and face challenges, it helps us to accept ourselves and have a sense of worth and importance. It also helps us to have a sense of belonging.

Take a look at the things you already do and see what else you can do to achieve a positive mindset. Maybe you need to try something new, or be a little kinder to yourself, take some time out or reach out to a family member or friend.

We hope you have a lovely weekend, look after each other, lots of love The Pastoral Team xxx

Mrs Cadman's News!

Competitions!

The Kinver Rotary club play a big part at Crestwood Park - each year they donate beautiful dictionaries to all children in Year 6.  They also arrange for a special visitor to see the children in December each year and they set up and run competitions for all children.

We will be taking part in these competitions again this year.

There will be competitions for Writing, Art and Photography.

Writing will be completed in classes, whereas the entries for Art and Photography will be an opportunity for you to do at home with your child.

Look out for further details coming soon.

House Points

It is nearly the end of our first half term and the children have been doing an excellent job of collecting house points for their team.

Take a look to see which team is currently leading.

Please see below information about Mr Barnett's Half Term Halloween Multi-Sports Club ðŸŽƒ

Thinking of having a sort out over the half term before Christmas?

We have signed up to the Rags2Riches4Schools recycling scheme, to help others around the world benefit from our good quality unwanted clothes and shoes. The money we raise from every kilo of clothes we collect will go towards our school and we would be most grateful if you could help us with this challenge at home.

Bags of clothes can be handed in to the school office FROM MONDAY 3rd NOVEMBER due to storage. The bags are being collected on WEDNESDAY 5th NOVEMBER so please do not bring in bags later than this date.

Please help us to help others and raise much needed funds for our school.

Thank you for your continuing support.

Finally...

Well, the British Value of Democracy was fully evident in school today as everyone voted for their new school councillors.

Congratulations again to the successful candidates.

To those who were not successful on this occasion, please remember...

"A 'no' today can lead to a big 'yes' tomorrow- don't give up!"

Please take a look at the newsletter titled "What's Going On In Our Community" for information regarding events in the local area!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
