Welcome to our Newsletter
It’s been another wonderful sunny week, and the children continue to enjoy their time outdoors. We are lucky to have such lovely grounds for them to explore. You may have noticed that our school garden is beginning to bloom! Please read the section below to see how it is progressing and how the children can continue to be involved in our gardening efforts!
We are always keen to further enhance and improve facilities for our children, and we are in the process of deciding how best to develop the play area on key stage 1 playground, beside the mobile, where there was once some wooden equipment. Our aim is to purchase some new and exciting equipment so that this can be a purposeful and fun outdoor space. Thanks in advance for your support in helping us to raise much needed funds for this. All of our events- such as Summer Fun, Our Get Together Picnic and some sponsored events in September will go towards this exciting new project. Children also going to be involved in its design!
Today was Careers Day in school, and the children had the opportunity to explore some careers that really promote the environment and sustainability, such as what it might entail to be a botanist, landscape architect and ecologist. You can see how they got on below!
Happy Birthday to you...

Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools Clothing Collection
Thinking of having a sort out over the half term?
We have signed up to the Rags2Riches4Schools recycling scheme, to help others around the world benefit from our good quality unwanted clothes and shoes. The money we raise from every kilo of clothes we collect will go towards our school and we would be most grateful if you could help us with this challenge at home.
Bags of clothes can be handed in to the school office FROM MONDAY 9th JUNE due to storage. The bags are being collected on THURSDAY 12TH JUNE so please do not bring in bags later than this date.
Please help us to help others and raise much needed funds for our school.
Thank you for your continuing support.

Finally...
Well done once again to our year 6 children this week who applied themselves so well when completing their SAT's. They- and everyone else too- have certainly earned their weekend break...
Keep enjoying the sunshine everyone!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
