Welcome to our Newsletter
This morning’s year 3 class assembly really put a smile on everybody’s faces. The children looked amazing in their French themed outfits, and it was clear that they are thoroughly enjoying their French lessons- the knowledge they shared was impressive! Thanks as always to the year 3 staff for their hard work behind the scenes.
We are fast approaching Easter and next week we will celebrate our end of term achievers with an Easter themed assembly on Thursday morning at 9.00am. The Easter raffle will be drawn during this assembly too. All are welcome to attend.
For our Friday morning assembly next week, we are having to limit numbers due to special guests being invited to celebrate 50 years of Crestwood Park. See more information on this below. All parents however are welcome to join us at the end of the day- at 3pm- for a final celebratory song from our children.
In recognition of our 50th year, families have the opportunity to purchase a whole-school photograph- please keep reading to find out how you can order yours!
Happy Birthday to you...

Amazon Wish List - Updated

We have updated our Amazon Wish List - as always we are really grateful for any donation we receive and the little things really do go a long way!
Thank you Mrs Brierley for purchasing some books for school this week!
Celebrating our children's work

World Downs Day - Thursday 21st March

On Thursday children are invited to wear odd socks for World Downs Day in exchange for a suggested £1.00 donation.
The brighter and crazier the better! We cant wait to see your funky feet!
Money raised will go to Up and Downs who are a local support group for children who have Down syndrome offering weekly stay play sessions , monthly meet ups, fun activities, speech and language therapy and Makaton training to help with communication and any other support that families need.
50th Birthday Party Day- Friday 22nd March
We are getting very excited for our birthday celebrations in school on Friday 22nd March. On this day, children can wear party clothes!
Our morning assembly at 9.00am on this day will see the children taking us through the decades and recalling moments from Crestwood Park’s history. Due to special guests (including past members of staff) attending this assembly, we will have a limit of ONE SEAT PER FAMILY. No pre-school children will be able to attend. It is impossible to accommodate more than this due to the size of our hall and Health and Safety regulations. Your seat for the assembly will be available to book from Monday 11th March on the School Life app under the Clubs and Bookings tab.
Children will have their lunch as a street party and take part in party games during the afternoon!
We appreciate that parents would like to be involved so, as the morning assembly places are limited, we are opening up an invite to ALL to come onto the playground at 3.00pm when the children will perform a celebratory song (weather permitting).
Can you help?

On our Birthday Celebration Day, we are hoping to set up a ‘Crestwood Park through the Decades’ room containing memorabilia and photographs.
If you know anyone who has attended Crestwood Park in the past who may have some items or photographs, we could display in the room, could you please ask if they would be prepared to ‘loan’ them to us for this day. Any items and photographs can be sent in via the school office.
If we could have them by Wednesday 20th March, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your support with this request.
Breaktime Tuck - NO CASH ALERT

From Monday 8th April, we will not be accepting any cash payments for toast and milkshakes.
These breaktime tuck items will need to be booked and paid for on the Teachesr2Parents app. This system does require orders to be placed by 12 midnight the night before. We have no control over this. There is no option to pay on the day.
Thank you to parents who are already using this facility.
Our decision to go cashless is to improve breaktimes for staff but more importantly children. A cashless system eases the pressures of handling, counting and accounting for children's money. It will also mean NO MORE QUEUING FOR TUCK! Children will not have to spend their breaktimes in a queue, because as we know orders in advance, we can deliver the items directly to their classrooms at the start of breaktime.
HAF Bookings are live!
