Welcome to our Newsletter

Our Key Stage One Christmas Performances this week were a delight and certainly helped us all to feel festive! Aptly entitled- ‘A Recipe for a Perfect Christmas’, they contained a nativity, reindeers, naughty elves, a movie scene, some wonderful singing and dancing, and a host of jokes to make us laugh. It was wonderful to see a full audience. Thank you for the positive feedback, acknowledging that it was a special, personalised play this year. Thanks to all our staff who helped put it together. It was worth the effort- our children thoroughly enjoyed it, and all rose to the occasion.

It was Christmas Jumper Day in school and the children all received a visit from both Santa and the Mary Stevens ‘Stevie’ Mascot. Thank you for your donations, which will be split between the Hospice and Save the Children.

Other events this week included a netball match played away at Fairhaven last night. Although they suffered a defeat, the team displayed resilience, and this is something they should be proud of.

Events next week include: Christmas Dinner Day, Christmas Parties and our Carol Service. Our choir will also be taking part in The Mayor’s Concert at Dudley Town Hall.

So, keep reading this newsletter, and keep checking your sch.life messages, for further information and updates about such events.

Today was our Christmas jumper day - we have raised money to donate to Mary Stevens Hospice and Save The Children.

We had a very special visit from Mary Stevens - Stevie the mascot came to say hello to all the children, and then Santa arrived on his sleigh!

What a day!

Christmas Parties!

A SPECIAL MENTION...

Back in February Joey’s Auntie was diagnosed with an aggressive bone cancer called osteosarcoma. Her friends wanted to do something to raise money so they decided to walk 6 peaks in 6 weeks starting with Ben Nevis and ending with Pen y Fan. Joey, his Nanny and his Mommy decided to join them for their last walk which was Pen Y Fan on 6th December so they left for wales at 6.30am and started walking at 9am. It was really hard as the weather was awful - lots of rain and wind, but they managed to get to the top of the peak. Altogether they have raised £6000 which is amazing! Joey was very brave at the top as it was so windy. He did amazing and was so brave. Well Done Joey! 💚

Mrs Cadman's News!

A final reminder to send in Rotary competition consent forms.

The children have worked hard to write an entry linked to the theme 'Happiness in Nature' and without the consent forms, the entries can not be submitted.

If your child has sent in an entry for either the Art competition or the Photography competition, they should have received a separate consent form for these entries.

Many thanks for your support.

Rotary Club Competitions

Each year we invite children to enter the Rotary Club competitions.

The theme is HAPPINESS IN NATURE

We will be completing a writing competition for this in school time.

The art competition and photography competition, we ask that you have a go at these at home.  You can then submit the entries in at school and we will send them off to be part of the competition.

All the information is below.

If you have any further questions, please email Mrs Cadman - acadman@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk
