Welcome to our Newsletter

What a great day it has been!

Art Day has been a tremendous success which culminated in all the work being displayed at our Art Exhibition. A big thanks to Miss Pryke- our Art Lead in school- who organised the day and provided staff with the resources needed to deliver all of the wonderfully creative activities.

The mayor visited us and was very impressed, not only with the artwork, but also how much knowledge the children could recall about their artist.

Thank you to the families who were able to come and view the exhibition after school. As always, we really appreciate your support.

If you were unable to pop into the exhibition, you can see what was on display in our photos below.

Update on Books!

The money taken last week at the Book Fair – meant we could spend our rewards on new books for school.  The Reading Ambassadors will be busy labelling up the books ready to put out on the shelves for everyone to enjoy.

It is always lovely to receive emails about children enjoying books – so I was thrilled when I received this fabulous photo of William at the weekend.  William had taken part in the summer reading competition that I had set and with his prize, he visited Waterstones and chose a book.  I can’t wait to hear all about his new book once he’s read it.

Parents – what are you reading at the moment?  Evidence shows that if your child is seeing you read – this will motivate them to read too.  So give yourself some time this weekend to enjoy a book and see who’s watching……..

Pastoral update

What an exciting week we have had in school.  On Thursday it was World Mental Health day so with this in mind we would like to share a website full of resources and support.

It is ok not to feel ok, but when we realise this it is so important to take time out for ourselves and seek the support of our friends, family and any support networks.

It looks like the sun is going to shine this weekend so why not get out and have a walk and take in some much needed vitamin D at this time of year. Have a lovely weekend, lots of love the Pastoral Team xxxx

Primary School Admissions 2025

Finally...

All of the children so impressed us today with their artistic talents, so I'm wishing you all a fun filled weekend where I hope you can continue to be creative!

Remember everyone....

“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun.”

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
