Saying Goodbye

Today, we sadly said goodbye to Ms Kovacs who has worked as a TA at CPPS for many years.

As part of our Pastoral Team, she has greatly impacted and made a positive difference to the lives of many children and families.

We gave Ms Kovacs a shortened story time at the end of this morning's ABC assembly and shared with her part of the story- The Invisible String.

Our message to Ms Kovacs was simple- you may not be in school any more- but an invisible string will always connect you to the heart of Crestwood Park.

We will be saying a few more goodbyes over the next few weeks as two of our TA's move on from the Crestwood Park Family.

Mrs Akthar will spend her last day with us on Friday 23rd June and Mrs Guest will be leaving at the end of term.

It always sad saying good bye to members of our team and I want to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for their dedication and commitment to Crestwood Park over the years.

Looking after our wellbeing

What a lovely week it has been, everyone has returned looking refreshed and we have loved hearing about the wonderful things you have been getting up to in the holidays.

As it is child safety week we have been thinking about how we can keep ourselves safe.

See if you can remember 3 ways to keep yourself safe and share them with Mrs Kennedy or Mrs Priest. There will be house points and a prize.

With that in mind, please look after each other at the weekend and we look forward to seeing you all next week. Have fun but remember to always be safe.

With lots of love from

The Pastoral Team xxx

Parents will be invited to visit this exhibition at some point in the afternoon. More details will follow.

Father Figure Assembly

Next Friday, our 9.00am assembly will be a celebration of Dad's and key male role models in our life. Similarly to our Mother's Day service, the children will sing songs and pay tribute in words to Father's Day. It would be great if some of our Dads could come along, but as always, this assembly is open to all family members. Hope to see you there!

Celebrating Our Children's Work

Year 1 have been very busy making 3D maps of our school and the local area in Geography, they were all amazing.

Here is one that Darcie, Millie, Amelia, Joey and William designed.

Well Done Year 1.

Thank you to Alex and Oliver for sending us your sunflower pictures! They are growing beautifully!

Before the end of term, we will then ask children to show us the progress they have made and prizes will be awarded for our budding gardeners.

Random 'Acts of Kindness'

Jenson wanted to help the environment and go litter picking after school on Friday last week.

He walked around the surrounding areas of the school and collected a whole bag of rubbish! Surprised how much there was and not enough space in his bag, Jenson headed back out over the weekend to finish collecting all the litter.

You have certainly demonstrated some of our SPARKS values here!

Well done!

House Challenges

In preparation for an exciting house challenge in a few weeks' time, we are looking to gather as many resources as possible.

If you would be prepared to donate or could collect any of the following for us, we would be most grateful.

Please hand to classroom staff. We look forward to sharing our finished products with you soon!
  • Sticky Tape
  • Lolly sticks
  • Egg boxes
  • Toilet roll middles
  • Kitchen roll middles
  • Plastic or paper disposable cups

Finally...

This term's SPARKS is SAFE and this week has been Child Safety Week.

Therefore, my closing message to you all this weekend is...

May your weekend be filled with energy and cheer, staying safe and having nothing to fear!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
