Welcome to our Newsletter
Another four-day week has flown by and ended wonderfully this morning with the year 2 class assembly. The assembly was a true display of their geographical knowledge about our local area and Tulum in Mexico.
The 80th anniversary of VE Day was recognised in an assembly on Thursday and our Reception children continued to learn about such a momentous and poignant occasion- keep scrolling to see their photo!
Next week, is a full five-day week! It is the week when our year 6 children will be sitting their SAT’s- we wish them all the best for these and thank all those who have been involved with preparation and the very important administration of these next week. From Monday to Thursday a SAT’s breakfast will be provided to help our children start the day fuelled and ready to shine!
Our newsletter contains key information as always- please pay particular attention and note timings and dates for our: Sports Day, Forest School Sessions and After School Clubs...all relevant details are provided below!
Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Logan, Evan, Emily and Hassan who has celebrated her birthday this week.

It's that time again... Sports Day will take place at school on Thursday 22nd May.
Key Stage 2's sports day will be taking place in the morning, from 9:15am-10:30.
Reception and Key Stage 1's sports day will be taking place in the afternoon from 1:30pm.
Children can come to school in their PE kits, but with a t-shirt the colour of their house team. Staff will be sending home a slip to remind you of the houses and the colours.
Families are welcome to watch - you may like to bring a chair or a picnic blanket to use in the spectators area. There might even be a chance for a race at the end - so wear your trainers.

Our SPARKS - Kind

This term our SPARKS focus is KIND
Each child has a chance to receive a KIND SPARKS badge if they complete the 6 acts of kindness on their card.
An adult will need to sign each act and then once all have been completed, please hand them in to the class teacher.

VE Day Celebrations in Reception!
Reception found out all about VE Day and what it means to people in the United Kingdom. They made some fabulous flags too!
Ask them all about it!

Rags 2 Riches 4 Schools Clothing Collection
Thinking of having a sort out over the half term?
We have signed up to the Rags2Riches4Schools recycling scheme, to help others around the world benefit from our good quality unwanted clothes and shoes. The money we raise from every kilo of clothes we collect will go towards our school and we would be most grateful if you could help us with this challenge at home.
Bags of clothes can be handed in to the school office FROM MONDAY 9th JUNE due to storage. The bags are being collected on THURSDAY 12TH JUNE so please do not bring in bags later than this date.
Please help us to help others and raise much needed funds for our school.
Thank you for your continuing support.

House Points!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
