Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

It's been a short but productive half-term. There have been many highlights. I have had more children than ever come to see me with their wonderful work and examples of good behaviour. I think our Achievers' Assembly yesterday morning really emphasised just how many of our children are true SPARKS each and every day. Our values of Smart, Polite, Aware, Respectful, Kind and Safe are truly embedded into the ethos of our school.

It was lovely to see some of our children returning to school last night for our Valentines Disco. A big thankyou to members of our HSA for running the event and in particular to our Chair of Governors- Josh- who stepped into the role (very effectively) of children's entertainer for the evening! Funds from the event will go toward subsidising class trips for the summer term.

Next term, the run up to Easter promises to be very special as we celebrate several events. The biggest of which is our 50th Birthday Celebration Day- due to be held on Friday 22nd March. Details of what we have planned will be with you soon!

Immediately after half-term we have Parents Evenings and our Book Fair in school- so please read on to find out exact dates and timings.

Happy Birthday to you...

We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to...Elsie, Faye, Alesia, Saharsh, Sohansh, Bailey, Baani and Rhylee who have celebrated his birthday this week or will be celebrating over the weekend!

We would like to also wish Ben, Mason and Ameliya a Happy Birthday - as they will be celebrating during the half term break.

Looking After Our Wellbeing

Wow! A huge well done to the children who did a spot of bird watching over the weekend.  So many of you completed our bird watching challenge this week.

We would like to mention Thomas Yr 5  who went to Wyre Forest, Daisy Yr 5 and Millie Yr 3 who watched from their nan's window, Ashley Yr 3 who went to Bumble Hole, Delilah, Fearne, Eve and Nahla from Yr 3  all watched from their window at home. They spotted a variety of birds to include magpies, bluetits, robins, pigeons and ducks.  Well done to you all.

We would like you to continue to look after your mental health and wellbeing over half term.  Whether it's going for a walk, dancing, singing, baking, resting or meeting up with a friend, really whatever makes you feel good.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
