Welcome to our Newsletter
Christmas has definitely arrived at Crestwood Park. This week has been filled with visits from Santa, Christmas play rehearsals and Christmas crafts and card making! I cannot wait to see the final KS1 performances next week of 'The Fleece Force'! Tickets are still available for Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. You are able to book 2 tickets for each, making a total of 4, on the T2P app. Please note that there is a strict no younger sibling policy for these performances.
For details of all other remaining events from now until we break up for Christmas, please see dates listed below on the newsletter, or check out the calendar on the website.
It has been a couple of weeks since we have had a family Friday assembly. However, we do have our Achievers assembly next Friday 13th at 9.00am. Everyone is welcome. If your child is to receive a special certificate, a sch.life message will be sent out by Wednesday of next week. Also, any child who has earned 10 POLITE points this term, will be awarded with their SPARKS badge in this assembly. So...please ask your children how many points they have!
Happy Birthday to you...

Sending Birthday wishes to Annalise, Ashleigh, Rhys, Zach and Mihail who have celebrated their birthday this week or will be over the weekend.

Christmas Jumper Day and Reindeer Run!
What a fabulous day we have all had. The children looked amazing in their Christmas jumpers.
All children had a visit to see our very special visitor on his sleigh from the Rotary Club. The Reindeer Run was a success and the children looked great with their antlers on!
We are supporting Save the Children and Mary Stevens Hospice, and are hugely grateful for all of your donations to these worthwhile charities. A total of £182.65 will be split between the two charities.

Foodbank Friday - 13th December

We will be collecting donations for the Black Country Foodbank next Friday (13th December).
If you would like to make a donation, please hand them directly to your child's class teacher at any point next week. All donations will be collected on Friday morning, so please ensure any donations are brought into school by then.
Thank you for you continued support.

Thanks for your support.
Writing for Pleasure
Nathaniel was very excited to show me his writing about Senna this week - and I enjoyed reading it.
I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story once he's finished it.
Thank you Nathaniel!

Adah spent one of her evenings writing a short story titled 'The Poor Dragon'. The Dragon makes a friend; butterfly, who makes Dragon happy.
I look forward to reading the next story in the series!
Well done Adah.

Reading at home!
This week, I have received a photo of Archie reading! He even has a special Christmasy selection of books.
He is reading one of my favourite books - The Christmas Jolly Postman!
Thank you for sending these photos in.

Safety On the Road Outside School

Could we please remind parents/carers not to park on the yellow school markings outside of our school. This includes when dropping off or picking up a child from Poppyfields. This is so we can keep everyone in a school community safe. It is always tempting to pull up on the lines as
it's nearer, and
you're not going to be long, and
there's nobody about etc ......
But there is clear signage stating no parking between 8am and 5pm.
Please help us to keep everyone safe. Thank you.

Christmas Holiday Club - Provided by Ace Coaching at The Crestwood School

Finally...
At such a busy time of year, I hope our children manage to have some fun, but also an opportunity to rest at the weekend.
The final two weeks are pretty action packed and we need them all fighting fit!
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm. If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
