Welcome to our Newsletter!
We've had a good first week back after half term and in usual Crestwood Park style, we have been very busy! On Wednesday we had a successful start to our Forest School sessions. Jason, our Forest School lead had children enjoying themselves from the minute the sessions started- as a taster to the concept of 'Forest School' children enjoyed climbing trees, watching fires being built and lit and sitting in hammocks! Thankyou to parents and families for supporting this exciting addition to our curriculum with the wellies and waterproofs.
On Thursday night we enjoyed the Autumn Disco - it was very well attended with roughly 160 children enjoying dancing and games led by Lee, the entertainer! Our next Disco is booked in for the Spring, so if you have any feedback that can help us make the event even more enjoyable for our children, please get in touch.
Today we finished with a lovely ABC assembly - as always, it's fantastic to end the week celebrating achievements in school at at home.
School Council's decision for Children in Need Day!
Miss Obertelli and the School Council have discussed what children could do in support of Children in Need Day on November 18th and they have chosen to go with 'come to school in your PJs'! Of course this is not obligatory - if children prefer not to, they can come in their usual school uniform or clothes of their own choice. Also, we would welcome any donations children and families make to the Children in Need cause, but again, this is personal choice.
To support the charity further, we have a small range of 'Children in Need' gifts and will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win one of these, from Monday 14th.
Any queries, please ask.

Happy Birthday to you..
We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to... Logan, Harry M, Lillie, Harry A and Fearne who have celebrated their birthday this week, or will be celebrating over the weekend.

Celebrating our Children's work
Every week we would like to celebrate a piece of work which has been done by our children. If you child does any work at home that you feel should be celebrated please send it in to us at info@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk.
This week Eva in Year 6 has designed an information poster on keeping safe around bonfire and fireworks. I'm sure you will agree that this is a great piece of work with some excellent advice of how to keep safe.
Well done Eva!

And finally...
We've had lots of positive feedback from children and parents about Forest School and the Autumn Disco- we use this feedback to continue to look for improvements in the way we do things, always with the children at the heart of our decisions but also with careful consideration of any impact on families. As we have said on numerous occasions, we are very open to feedback or criticism, but if this is going to be constructive, we need to discuss it in person or on the phone. Negative comments via social media platforms are always disheartening and sometimes really upsetting.
If you aren't happy with anything we do, please talk to us about it as often queries or issues can be sorted with mutually respectful conversations. If you are a regular newsletter reader, but know of others who are not, please share this with them, ask them to call school or email acooper1@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk.
We hope you all have a good weekend and if you're enjoying bonfires and fireworks at some point, please stay safe.
