Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Newsletter

This week has ended with a Well-Being Day in school. The children arrived wearing colours that made them happy and continued to have a happy day! Throughout the day, children have had the opportunity to consider their own mental health and we, as always, have prioritised their mental well- being. The children have enjoyed being active with a dancing work shop led by Mrs Cadman and enaging in lots of sensory play. We even created a graffitti wall for them to write positive messages on for all to see!

As always our newsletter contains some photos of the children demonstrating their fun and focus at Crestwood Park Primary- keep scrolling to see photos from today and of our wonderful children completing more acts of kindness…

Happy Birthday to you...

We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to... Dylan, Logan and Evan who have celebrated their birthday this week or will be celebrating over the weekend!

Wellbeing Day 2024

Wow! So much, love, laughter, smiles, enjoyment and enthusiasm has been shared today during our Wellbeing Day.

Throughout the day all of our KS2 children have signed up to Childline.  There are so many resources and games to support their Wellbeing. Our children have also enjoyed Yoga to unwind, a graffiti wall to express their feelings, handprint painting, sharing a connection with others, a sensory experience in our Cosy Cave and to finish off a whole school conga followed by our grand finale...a whole school dance led by Mrs Cadman.

A massive thankyou to everyone for making this day happen and for everyone's love and support, it has been truly amazing.  Take a look at a few photos from our day.

Have an amazing bank holiday weekend, lots of love The Pastoral Team xxxx

We are in the running to win £500 to help enhance our forest school area, but we need your help!

Next time you pop to any Tesco in the Dudley borough please vote for us by asking for some blue tokens at the checkout and dropping them into the relevant voting box as you leave the store.

Thank you!

Accelerated Reader

Children in Year 2,3,4,5 and 6 have access to the Accelerated Reader program.  Each half term, children take a STAR Assessment quiz to identify the level that they are reading at.  This assessment generates a ZPD number - a book level.  Children can then choose an appropriate book.  Once they have read the book, they will be able to complete a quiz on the computer in their own log in area of Accelerated Reader.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children are safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
