The White Rose Hub sheets can be tricky and are designed to stretch the children in every direction. If your child finds a question particularly difficult, move on to the next one to see if that presents it in a way that they can better understand. If they are really struggling, get in touch with me and I will get you some alternatives. My email address is in the welcome section of our home learning page.

Please use resources like counters or pasta to help children to work out questions practically if they need to. They can also draw things out to help e.g. There are 6 packets of pencils with 5 in each one- Draw out 6 packets of pencils with 5 in each one and count up.

Don't forget that if you complete your compulsory and recommended activites on this page, you will have an activity on purple mash if you want to do more!

Quick Wins!!

Your child will benefit from practising some things regularly, every day if you have the time. They are quick wins, so shouldn't be too time consuming. If you are struggling for time, have a go at some of these!

Today I have an investigation for you. It is a flashback to the odd and even numbers we explored on Tuesday.

Mrs Cohen says that:

Odd Number + Odd Number + Odd Number = Even Number

Is she right? Always, sometimes or never?

I want you to investigate this by testing it out and trying different odd numbers added together. You need to decide if she is always true, sometimes true or never true.

Recommended

Go to Espresso (log in details at the top of this page). Go to Key Stage One -> Maths -> Multiplication and Division -> Activities. Play the game 'Use division facts 10x Table'.
