I shall set a spelling task on Purple Mash on Mondays and Wednesday - this will include words from previous years, words with certain patterns and words I feel that you need to learn.

Let's Write
This week we have explored a variety of books written by different authors. Today I would like you to be the authors.
I have attatched a picture below. They are 'imagistones'. Sometimes the hardest thing about writing is knowing where to start, thinking of ideas.
Your stones are to help you start your story. Can you inclde all the things on the sones in your story and even trickier can you include the ambitious vocabulary. You may need to discover the meaning of the words before you can use them in your writing.
I have also attatched a book craft for you to write your story in. Ask your grown ups to send me picutres of your story as I can't wait to read them on friday evening with a cup of tea.

RSE
Hello year 5 this afternoon your curriculum lession is RSE 'knowing how to stay happy and healthy'.
Today you are going to explore social media and spending time on our phones.
In current times we are spending more time on our phones, laptops and tablets in order to stay connected with each other. My family are all back in Yorkshire and it has been a long time since I have seen my mum, dad and sister as we can't travel so my phone is very important to me to stay in touch with them. I know the same is for a lot of you as some of you haven't seen your classmates for a number of weeks now so you are staying connected on you phones and games consolses.
We are very lucky we are able to do this but it is very important we know how to use our devices safely.
Firstly read through the powerpoint and then complete the activities.
On the challenge cards I would like you to explain your thoughts.
