Attendance

Your children will be coming home with their attendance updates - please search bags, lunch boxes, pockets etc. If you can't find it, we humbly suggest holding by the ankles and gently shaking until the offending letter falls from wherever it is hiding.

As you know, we work hard to ensure your children are in school as much as possible; their academic progress depends on them being here! Thank you for supporting our efforts and for talking to us about absence. Together we can make a real difference to how well your children do. Although our overall percentage of attendance remains the same (95.9%) we have had success with lowering the number of children with concerning levels of absence. Compared to December, the number of 'yellow' children has dropped from 41 to 35, our 'orange' children have dropped from 20 to 5 and the number of 'red' has dropped from 7 to 3! Well done everyone! As always, any queries or concerns, please get in touch.

Reminder of recent requests

Grand Easter Egg raffle! When you're shopping, could you please put an extra Easter Egg in your basket for our raffle which will take place on Thursday 29th. The more we have, the more children will win a prize so please bring donations into school as soon as you can.

Foodbank Friday is being held on 23rd March. As with previous collections we would welcome your donations. Please send these in to class or drop at the school office anytime before 23rd.

Girls' Football Report

On Wednesday of this week our Girls' Football Team played a home match against Roberts Primary School. The girls played a tough game against a physical team. Even though they cost 5-1, our girls showed a good attitude, good sportsmanship and never gave up. They worked well as a team and showed true 'team spirit'. Be proud of the game you played girls and just look forward to the next game! Well done everyone.

Teachers2Parents Text Message Service

Time continues to march on and we are getting ever closer to losing our texting service Teachers2Parents. We are aware - from the numerous telephone calls we get - that many parents are still not even accessing or reading this newsletter. We really need all parents to sign up to the school life app so that we are able to reach everyone via the push message service which is how you get notification that our newsletter is ready to view. If you are reading this please ask your friends whether they have read it, it would be great if you could also ask whether they have downloaded the app!

Lunchtime Supervisor Vacancy

Since Miss Rudkin has left us to go on maternity leave, we have a temporary vacancy for a lunchtime supervisor, until she returns. If you are interested, please pop into the office to ask for an application form and more details.
