Well Being

Grand Opening of our wonderful Nurture Room...

We had a lovely afternoon on Tuesday 4th June, when our newly built Nurture Room was opened with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.  We had lots of wonderful visitors including all those involved in making this project happen - we are eternally grateful to you all and cannot thank you enough for your patience whilst the build took place - I am sure you will all agree, it was well worth the wait!

After-school clubs for ALL during summer term...

Fancy dusting off your rounders bats or reliving your athletic days...if so why not join us on a Tuesday afternoon for Rounders and/or on Wednesday afternoon for Athletics...Mr Barnett has sent letters out this week inviting ALL year groups and parents/carers to join in - these clubs are designed to involve family members in physical activity but in a fun and beneficial way.  The sessions will be limited to 30 child places across the school for EACH club. Please refer to the letter for details, reply slip and costs, thank-you.

Father's Day Card Making Session...

At the time of writing, we are currently oversubscribed for our ever-popular Father's Day Card Making Session (being held on Tuesday 11th June) - we are grateful for such a fantastic response, however as per the letter sent out, numbers are limited to 30 and we will notify you if you have been successful in securing a place, thank-you.

As Pioneer Residential draws near...

The excitement is building for our Year 6 pupils (and teachers) as they prepare to embark on their residential trip to the Pioneer Centre - a world of adventure and fun awaits. Further letters have been sent out this week detailing what to bring (and what not to bring) including suggested Kit Lists and essentials including all weather gear but we are sure you are ready for the trip. Remember pupils need to be at school for normal time as we are hoping to depart at approximately 9am, thank-you.

Plea for Photo-booth props...

You know all the weddings and parties you have attended, whereby you participated in 'photo-booth fun', don't suppose you have any spare props you would be willing to donate or that we could borrow PLEASE? We would like them for the Crestwood Park Summer Fun week (week beginning 24th June) - if you can help please hand them to into class, thank-you.

"Great Get Together" Picnic...

Last year we all took part in the Great Get Together Picnic afternoon. It was such an enjoyable, relaxing time we are doing the same this year - it will take place on Friday 21st June.  It is a community event in memory of Jo Cox. Our idea is that everyone gets together for a picnic tea on our school field. Bring your blanket and food and get together with others to reiterate that now famous comment from Jo Cox that "We have more in common than that which divides us".

Crestwood Cups and Bottle Tombola...

Look out for the Crestwood cups that will be finding their way home with your children over the next week or so. Inside the cup will be a letter explaining what to do with the cup, but as last year, please fill them with sweets or little gifts and send back in to school to the classroom. These will be raffled off at the Great Get Together Picnic afternoon. Also If you can donate a bottle for the bottle tombola - it would be greatly appreciated.

Sports Day at The Dell Stadium...

We will shortly be sending out details for our proposed Sports Day activities which take place at The Dell Stadium - we are holding the event on Tuesday 18th June. Watch this space...

Dudley Libraries Reading Challenge

The names of all finishers go into a free prize draw; Prizes include Family tickets to various attractions, such as Dudley Zoo, Black Country Museum and the Think Tank. The 2019 theme is "Space Chase" celebrating the 50th Anniversary of The Moon Landing. We will send out further details in July. Happy Reading!!
