Breakfast with Santa
Thank you for all the replies and bookings for this festive fun week. It promises to be a merry start to the day for the children where a fabulous selection of breakfast items is offered, prepared by our lovely kitchen staff. We know Santa can't wait to visit!
KS1 Performance
We are busy preparing the programmes for our amazing KS1 show 'The Inn-Spectors' and these will be out very soon. If you have requested extras please pop into the office Friday 7th. As always we do set a limit of 2 programmes per family per performance. With the option to request a maximum of 2 more programmess per performance - per family. We try to make it fair for everyone as space is limited to 200 seats. However, we can't remember the last time we ran out of programmes.
Festive Raffle and Guess the Names Challenge
Raffle tickets will be available from 9th December (the usual price of £1.00 for a strip of 5) from the school office. They will also be for sale at the KS1 productions, KS2 Carol Service, and fabulous finishes. We are raffling off several lovely gifts; hampers, chocolates, wine to name a few. Also we are holding a competition for children to name our 'Singing Santa' and 'Singing Snowman'. Guesses will cost 50p each or 3 for £1. This will be in the last week of term and will be 'sold' every lunchtime.
Naughty Nasty Nits!
It has come to our attention that there is an outbreak of head lice in KS1. We need everyone's help to get this under control.
Treatment: Wash hair and apply a generous amount of conditioner. With a fine toothed comb, carefully comb the hair from the scalp to the end of the hair. Look at the comb after each stroke and wipe clean. If done thoroughly, this will remove all live lice as the hair is so slippery they can't cling on! This is the most effective treatment, but needs repeating on a daily basis until all eggs have vanished. Chemical treatments can be purchased over the counter but it is known that some head lice become resistant to these and, therefore, no chemical preparation is one hundred percent effective.
Please remember - There is no shame in having headlice but it is shameful to do nothing about it!
