Well Being
We have started planting the 2 trees and our green-fingered Peacemakers have started planting their own saplings, so exciting times ahead in the Crestwood gardens.
SATs Club to support Key Stage 1 children...
For those signed up, Monday 1st April will be the last SATs club session for Key Stage 1 children. To confirm, the club begins after school and finishes at 4pm. PLEASE NOTE that due to the format of this club we can only offer places to children who attend with an adult and unfortunately we cannot accommodate siblings below school age. Thank-you.
Foodbank Friday - Appeal for donations...
A flyer has been sent out with the children this week providing details about Foodbank Friday. To confirm our Foodbank day will be on Friday 5th April 2019. Our donations will be collected by our Local Foodbank to be distributed to those in need. We would welcome further donations and greatly appreciate your generosity.
Egg-citing Easter and Easter Fun Day...
Firstly, thank-you for donations received to-date - there is still time to donate Easter eggs for our annual Easter egg raffle. The raffle is being held on the last day of term, please send any donations into school, with all monies raised going to school fund. Also don't forget on the same day, there will be our usual Easter bonnet parade - a prize for all entrants.
Easter Fun Day during half-term...
Mr Barnett, our egg-ceptional Sports Coach will be hosting an egg-cellent Easter Fun Day on Monday 15th April from 9:00am - 3:00pm - details of which have been sent out via the children this week. Please refer to the letter for full details and return the slip and money to the school office no later than 11th April, thank-you. Please note that places are limited to 30 children...HURRY places are filling quickly.
Year 5 and 6 visit to Woodgate Valley and Dudley Canal boat trip...
A flyer has been sent out today with details on the trip and what the children need to remember to bring with them on the day; a waterproof coat and a change of footwear is necessary. No money needed and no mobile phones (staff will be equipped with the school mobile). Children should arrive at school at the normal time and go to their classroom as normal. Thank-you.
Year 1 and 2 Wedding Ceremony...
Just a little reminder that on Tuesday 9th April, our local vicar will be visiting us to talk to the children in Year 1 and 2 about traditional Christian wedding services (they have been learning about different ceremonies in R.E.). As part of this, the vicar will be conducting a mock wedding ceremony for the children. We would love the children to bring a change of clothes suitable for a wedding, but please do not go to any expense. Please refer to the letter sent out earlier this month for further details.
Cash handling in the school office...
To assist Mrs Hughes and Mrs Willetts during the morning "rush-hour", the ladies in the school office would be most grateful if any dinner/tuck money could be handed to the class teacher/teaching assistant when dropping children off at their classroom, thank-you. However, if you feel your child/children are able to look after their own money (giving them a sense of great responsibility) you may wish to let them handle their own pennies and pay themselves at dinner? We are considering an online payment system for ease and will of course keep you in the loop on this.
Ordering school uniforms - My Clothing...
Just to let you all know that we have now rectified the account log-in with our new uniform provider "My-Clothing" so you should now be able to proceed with ordering those prestine new uniforms. Here is the link should you need it www.myclothing.com. Please note that we no longer order uniforms through Tesco's. If you encounter any problems with the My Clothing website, please contact the school office.
