No After School Clubs during first week back
As usual, there will be NO After School Clubs during the first week after the Easter Holiday.
Running Club will begin on Thursday 26th April and remains the same on Thursdays 3:15-4pm. There is also a Year 1 and 3 Choir/Singing Club planned for Mondays from 3:15-4pm. Letters will be sent out the first week back giving all information about the sport clubs on offer for next term. Please look out for these and return them, with your money, as quickly as possible to secure your child's place.
New Parking Regulations now in force
Following a visit from our local police, we need parents to be aware of new regulations which have already come into force regarding parking. Police now have the power to issue Fixed Penalty Notices for dangerous parking such as parking on school zig zag lines, parking right on the bend of a junction, double parking or causing obstruction. This can be done via photograph only and they no longer have to wait for you to return to your car. Photo's are sent to their Head Office and fines will be issued immediately. Unmarked police cars will be parking close to local schools and monitoring parking so please be considerate when parking your car.
Sad Farewell at Easter
We say a sad farewell to Mrs Rai today who has found it increasingly difficult to manage her commitments to school and commitments to working in her family business. She has now made the very hard decision to resign from her post as support teacher in Year 2. The better news however, is that we may see her again from time to time when she comes on supply to cover teacher absence. We hope you will join us in wishing her every success in her family ventures.
A Tennis Taster for Kids
We have had notification about a British Tennis Initiative. 6 coaching sessions, a racket and ball set and a personalised t-shirt - all for £25! Available for kids aged 4 - 11 years who are new to tennis. Don't miss out on the fun and sign up now at www.tennisforkids.co.uk and search postcode DY6 0JT for full details.
Happy Holidays
And finally...... we would take this opportunity to wish all of our readers 'Happy Hols!'. Please enjoy your break and don't eat too many Easter Eggs in one sitting (this would definitely make you sick and possibly slightly plumper!). We will see you all on Monday 16th April - refreshed, rejuvenated and ready to learn lots of new things in this final term of the academic year.
