Early Break Time Trial
To let you know that next week we will be trialling an earlier break time. We will be changing break from 11:00-11:15am and having break from 10:30 - 10:45am instead. The idea is to 'even out' the morning following feedback from parents and pupils. The same snacks and drinks will be available.
Year 1/2 Choir Club ends for this year
Miss Johnson has asked us to let you know that this week (Monday 4th July) will be the last Choir club for this academic year. She hopes you have enjoyed it and expects to be able to continue the club sometime next year. Keep a watchful eye for details. However many members of the choir are joining the KS2 choir to perform in a concert on 16th July at St James' church, Wollaston. Look out for the posters around school.
Family Rounders
Mr Barnett is looking forward to seeing all the parents and children who have signed up to the Family Rounders' evening. It starts at 3:15 and will finish at 4:15pm. There are two sessions 4th July and 11th July. It was such a success last year - we know you will have lots of fun.
Open Evening
You will all have received a letter giving out details of this years Open Evening being held on Thursday 5th July from 4:30-7:30pm. Please remember that doors will close at 7:00pm so that the open evening can finish promptly at 7:30pm. The Summer Open Evening is always a 'drop in' where, following distribution of reports staff will be available for a quick chat about what the report contains. Keep an eye out for your child's report which will be given out on Wednesday of next week, apart from Year Six whose SATS result are not yet published. Check their bag if they haven't handed it to you. We hope you can come along to see lots of the amazing things your children have done this year.
Dudley Schools Athletics Results
Mrs Kennedy has asked that we share the fabulous results from the recent competition.
Boys Team - 5th Place out of 27 schools. A special mention to Luke Bailey who won his 600m race which will earn us lots of points
Girl's Team - 12th place out of 27 schools
I think you will all agree how brilliant these results are.
Bikes and Scooters on school premises
There are several children using scooters and bikes in the school grounds at the beginning and end of the day. Please can we remind you that these can't be ridden around on school premises, especially at the busy beginning and end of day as toddlers etc could be knocked over. If you don't mind wheeling bikes and scooters, when on the school grounds it would help to keep everyone safe. Thank you for your help with this.
Summer Fun Week
Thank you all for supporting our second 'Summer Fun Week'. The children really seemed to enjoy it. Special thanks should go to all the staff who have given so freely of their time, without whom, it could not have happened. An additional mention should go to Mandy and the kitchen staff for cooking such a fabulous 'tea' for the children.
