HAPPY FRIDAY CHILDREN! (and adults helping!)
Happy Friday! Well done to all of you completing your tasks once again! I appreciate the hard work you are all putting in so keep it up! You are all superstars!!
I will say again - To all your parents, thank you so much for taking the time to send the work over to me so I can share in the children's successes. I hope you all have a well deserved break and a fantastic weekend. Keep smiling everyone.
Best wishes

English activity and spelling practise.
To end the week, I have attached a 'pobble' activity which links to our work about feelings. As always, there are a variety of tasks which you can complete. One of the activities is a flash back to subordinating clauses.
Remember, these are added to setences to extend the 'main clause' but if left alone they will not make sense by themselves. For example "The cat sat on the mat" is a main clause because it makes sense by itself. To add a subordinate clause I might say "The cat, who had fluffy, black fur, sat on the mat."
Who had fluffy, black fur doesn't make sense by itself and it needs the main clause to be able to work. I hope this reminds you about our previous grammar work...
Today, I have attached a link to our special guest reader today! A HUGE thank you Autumn for taking the time to read, record and send this in. I hope you all enjoy our story time today as much as I have! If you click the link the video should download for you to watch. Thank you to Autumn's family for allowing us to share in the story too!
If you want to share a story time, then choose a short story, record it and send it over to me and I'll upload it. Please ask your parents permission if you wish to be featured on our class page. As a passionate reader myself, it really is lovely to share a story with you!
If your parent doesn't wish for you to be featured on the website then you can still send me your video and I'll share the story with you! It really makes me smile!
Maths
As always, continue practising your times tables using TTRS as a resource.
Following the replies of so many of you who said you'd enjoyed the sudoko last week, I've decided to continue our mathematical Friday fun! I've attached some puzzles for you to have a go at. There are 5 activities for you to solve today - have a go at the ones you feel comfortable with (I would suggest the triangle puzzle first!) Think mathematically and remember, I wouldn't give you something you couldn't do so try your best and be confident. I am sure you will solve them with some thought.
How can we manage our feelings?
"How can we manage our feelings?"
As part of our work about managing feelings, there is a video below which discusses strategies to deal with feeling angry. I think this is very important in todays society, as many people may feel angry about the situation we find ourselves within. What's nice about this video is that it is from the perspective of primary school children and therefore you may relate to it yourselves.
Alongside this video, is another video which explain scientifically why we get angry. I thought you may find it interesting to see how our emotional responses evolved as humans did. It also gives you soemthing to reflect upon - how do you feel after being angry?
Again, I do not expect work from you for this - remember, this lesson is all about self growth and trying to help yourself as you grow older. Perhaps you might wish to think about these questions:
What makes you feel angry?
How do you react when you feel angry?
How do you feel afterwards?
What could you do to help yourself react in the correct way when you begin to lose your temper?
Could you think of three different strategies you will try next time you feel angry?
