WELLBEING...

As you know our marvellous Pastoral Team have implemented new family networking sessions; the next session will take place on Monday 30th September at 2:15pm - why not come along and chat with us and other parents over a cuppa? Offload, recharge your batteries and share the challenges/joys of daily life caring for your little ones. Please come via reception - we look forward to seeing you. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate pre-school age children, thank-you.

A little reminder that our School Nurse will be holding a 'Parent Drop-in' clinic from 9am - 11am on Tuesday 1st October. Please note that appointments are not necessary - should you wish to speak to the school nurse, please pop in during these times and rest assured, all conversations are dealt with in a confidential manner.

Get Set to Eat Fresh in association with Aldi...Aldi's Kit for Schools

Just a quick reminder that we are still collecting the Team GB stickers as we have the chance to be one of 20 primary schools to win £20,000 to build a health legacy at our school! From 6 September–3 November, when you spend £30 or more in any Aldi store, you’ll receive a special Team GB sticker – if our school works together to collect 300 stickers, we will automatically receive an exclusive school sports kit, in addition to entry into the £20,000 prize draw! Please send any stickers you receive into school with your children, to hand over to your child’s teacher. At an appropriate time of day, the class teacher will provide children with the opportunity to put their stickers on our Aldi’s Kit for Schools sticker poster. Thank-you for your support.

Harvest Festival Service...

What a wonderful Harvest Assembly-the children were absolutely fantastic; we are incredibly proud of them all! Thank you to all friends and family who came to watch our children who reminded us of the important messages behind such a special service.

Food Bank Friday...

A heartfelt thank-you for your generous 'Harvest' donations in support of the Black Country Foodbank - we are so grateful that our Crestwood Park family help support other families in our local area. Your donations have already been collected by The Black Country Foodbank and they have asked us to pass on a huge thankyou to you all.

Bake-Off success and Marvellous Macmillan Coffee Morning...

Our wonderful Crestwood Park family (children, families and staff), made and donated an amazing array of scrumptious cakes for our annual "Bake-Off". Well done to the winners- Eva, James, Charlie and Cooper were all runners-up; Isabella, Jack-James and Ashleigh were winners in Reception and KS1; Molly, Paige and Georgina were worthy winners in KS2. Well done all! The cakes were sold (very rapidly) at our Macmillan coffee morning, which again proved extremely successful - YOU HELPED US RAISE A WHOPPING £650:00 - YOU ARE ALL AMAZING. Thank you also for all the positive comments- your feedback is always important to us.

Mr Barnett's Questionnaire...

* REMINDER TO RETURN MR BARNETT'S QUESTIONNAIRES...* Selected children (who have not previously participated in After School clubs) were sent a questionnaire via our Sports Coach, Mr Barnett.  The purpose of the questionnaire is to provide the school with feedback on how to encourage your child to participate in future clubs. Here at Crestwood Park we work hard for all pupils to experience the full value of an After School Club. Please return the questionnaire to class as soon as possible, thank-you.

Hand in Hand for OSCAR...

Oscar is a 5 year old boy in Worcester who sadly has Leukaemia. He has been receiving treatment but unfortunately, his stem cell therapy has failed. His parents are now in a race against the clock to raise enough money to send him to Singapore for more treatment which we hope will save his life. Unfortunately, this will cost £500,000! Many schools in the area are doing what they can to raise funds (the story has been in the local news and on television recently). We are therefore asking our Crestwood Park family for help and school are going to have a non - uniform day on Friday 4th October in exchange for a donation. I hope we can all dig deep to help this lovely family...thank-you as always for your ongoing support.

Bikeability Training and Pedestrian Training...

As you know, we have arranged Pedestrian Training for Year 3 children on the 4th October and Bikeability Training for Years 4 and 6 on the 8th and 9th October; if you have not returned the relevant consent form(s), would you please do so by the 1st October, thank-you.

Year 3 and 4 Marvellous Middle visit to Cadbury World...

In connection with Year 3 and 4's Marvellous Middle theme, which is based around the story of "Charlie and the chocolate factory", we have planned a visit to Cadbury World. The visit will take place on Thursday 7th November 2019 - please refer to the letter sent out via the children this week for further information. Monies are due in by Friday 25th October, thank-you.
