Happy Half Term

We hope you  enjoy the half term break and  return feeling refreshed and raring to go.

We have now received our certificate and it is already proudly displayed in our entrance area.

Well Being with our Peacemakers

Many of our children have been enjoying joining Mrs Stowe in planting bulbs in our school flower beds, as part of our Peacemakers initiative. The children are thoroughly enjoying planting the bulbs, in fact I know Mrs Stowe is too!

Flu Vaccination

You will have received your child's letter by now - thank you to those who have already sent in your reply. If you haven't yet, please return it as soon as possible.

After School Clubs

Mr Barnett has sent out the letter regarding the start of Football club for Year 5 and Year 6. This will run as from the first week back Wednesday 7th to those who have replied.

Look out for a further letter giving details of the other clubs which will be on offer.

Half Term Activities

Dudley MBC are offering lots of activities to take part in over the half term break. Children in Need Fund Raising

We have had some lovely prizes donated by Mrs Stowe to rafflle for Children in Need. Including a Pudsey Bear, headbands and wristbands. Look out for more infomation as to when to bring your pennies along to buy tickets.

We will be asking children to come in dressed as Rock Stars or Pop Stars on the day, in exchange for a small donation, again more information to follow shortly.

Year 6 Secondary School Applications

If you haven't already done so, please ensure you make your child's application in time for the deadline, as this is fast approaching. We have been advised that there are still many parents who haven't yet done this.

Lapwood Lambs Volunteer wanted!

Mrs Tonks and Mrs Johnson would like some extra help at our toddler group - Lapwood Lambs. If you think you could help by arriving 10 minutes before the start and staying for approximately 15 minutes after the end then please let us know, we'd love to hear from you. In exchange you could have an extra biscuit!!

Sofa Requiring a New Home

As we are currently in the throws of redesigning our entrance area, which should largely be completed over half term. As a result, our sofa will need a new home. If you haven't seen it -it is a brown faux leather 2 seater. Any reasonable offer will be considered. However, you must be able to collect and transport it yourself. It will be available after half term. Please give us a call or pop into the school office if you are interested.

Unwanted Visitors in our Playground

Unfortunately, we had some unwanted visitors overnight this week. They caused a lot of disruption and chaos in our playground by moving the picnic benches around. Luckily they haven't been damaged, which we are grateful for, as many of our children and parents worked very hard to raise funds to purchase these. However other equipment such as bins and  the basketball hoop have been damaged.

Fortunately, we haven't had any problems of this kind for some time. We are researching cost effective measures to 'beef up' our security. In the meantime, if you see any suspicious actions or behaviour then please report it to the police. Thank you for being vigilant.

Poppy Appeal

We will be selling items in support of the Poppy Appeal in the first week back. So please bring your pennies in to suppport this fantastic charity.
