Due to Monday 28th January being an Inset Day, the school will be closed to children. Mrs Tonks and Mrs Johnson have asked us to let you know that the next session (4th February) will not involve cooking pizza but will be a fabulously fun time playing with chalks.

Book Fair Dates

Our Book Fair will be open during our Parents Evenings. On Wednesday 13th it will be open 4:00 - 6:00pm and Thursday 14th 6:00- 8:30pm. We look forward to seeing you.

Year 5 and Year 6 Marvellous Middle

We are excited to announce that the RNLI will be our visiting speaker on Thursday 14th February at 2:00pm. Year 5 and Year 6 are working on the theme "Storms and Shipwrecks" This will be their 'Marvellous Middle' and parents will be invited to some part of the event. Please look out for further information...

Year 5 and Year 6 After School Football Club

Mr Barnett wishes to remind you all that for those attending the after-school Football club to be aware that weather permitting, football will take place outside.  Your child will need to bring indoor and outdoor footwear and a carrier bag for dirty footwear, thank-you! You may wish to provide a clean set of clothes to travel home in.

Book Fairies Book Sale

Some of our kind and caring children are running a book sale called 'Book Fairies Book Sale' with proceeds going to 'Classroom in the Clouds'. This will run on Wednesday lunchtimes in the outside classroom located on KS1 playground. Prices vary but we ask for donations up to 50p per book. We hope you can bring along some pennies to support this worthwhile fund raiser.

Nurture Room Extension Works

Works are progressing well and to plan. Please remember to stay safe and remain extra cautious in the area. Thank you for your understanding.

Wellbeing

Friday 1st February will be our Wellbeing day. There will be lots of activites going on including relaxation techniques, healthy eating ideas and physical exercise. At the end of the day the assembly will be sharing of ideas and events from the day, so parents are invited, as usual, to the assembly but it will be in a slightly different format! Children can come in casual, relaxed sports wear type clothing for the day.

Uniform

The majority of our childen are always turned out well, in appropriate uniform and look smart and ready to learn, so thank you. However, we have noticed a small number of flourescent trainers, large headbands being worn by some girls and unsuitable girls' trousers. The website has pictures of correct uniform if you are unsure.

Tesco has ceased selling school uniform , but are honouring any orders. However there is a new company www.myclothing.com that has taken over.
