Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter!

We've had a lovely week in school and as the sun has been shining on us, we have been able to make the most of our wonderful outdoor spaces a little earlier in the year than usual. Today our Mothers' Day Assembly saw all our classes singing to a packed audience, outside on the playground. It was a super celebration and the atmosphere was fabulous. Thankyou to those who bought refreshments... every penny goes back into our school fund that is used to buy extras for our children. (Thankyou to Mandy in the kitchen for making the delicious cakes!)

It was great to see so many Mums and family members in school for some biscuit decorating...we're not sure how many of the biscuits actually made it to the Mums though!

The last two weeks of term continue to be busy- please check the school calendar to make sure you have all the information you need.

You will be aware that we have had an increase in COVID numbers in Year 2. Please be reassured that we are following all Public Health guidance for that bubble in particular, and continue to regularly hand-wash and clean surfaces during the day, throughout the school. We hope that the weekend 'breaks the chain' and things calm down again. If you have any concerns about COVID, the measures we have in place or questions about testing, please get in touch.

Tell your friends and family....Cash for Schools!

We know how amazing our parents are in taking part and getting involved with our fundraising efforts - so we have signed up to Cash for Schools!

This time we don't need donations - but we need TOKENS!

You will find tokens in the Express and Star paper every day from now until the beginning of April - so get collecting!

The more tokens we can collect the more chance we have of winning a share of a massive £12,000!

You can hand your tokens to your class teacher.

If you would like a poster to display at your place of work to show that you are collecting on behalf of Crestwood Park, please see the school office.

The more people we have collecting tokens for us the more chance we have of winning!

'Parents' Gardening Group

A BIG thank you to the parents who very generously gave up their free time to help with the gardening around the school yesterday and a special mention to Mrs Martin who kindly donated lots of gardening equipment! Thank you.

The group will be meeting again on Thursday 31st at 1pm,  so if you didn't come this week but are interested in joining in, please email Ms Bullas abullas@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk or let the office know.

We're not looking for gardening experts, just willing volunteers!

Thankyou!

And finally,

Thankyou for all the positive comments we received after our outdoor assembly today- it's great to hear about things going well, however we're also keen to hear about improvements you think we could make. If you have any suggestions, please email the usual addresses, give us a call or pop in to school.

Have a super weekend everyone- we hope the sun continues to shine and if you are a Mum, have a very Happy Mothers' Day. x

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
