Harvest Service

You will see from the Diary Dates above that next Friday is our Harvest Service. Flyers were sent out on Thursday regarding this which explained that again this year we will be supporting our local Black Country Foodbank. We really hope you are able to join us at 9:10am when children will be performing a variety of songs and poems for your enjoyment. Even if you can't be here please send us a donation for this very worthwhile cause. The food bank provide basic essentials for those in dire need and almost anything with a long shelf life is gratefully received.

Donations can be brought into school any day next week and we look forward to a bumper 'Harvest'!

Headlice!

It seems we are already experiencing problems, primarily in Key Stage One, with headlice and nits. It is very difficult for us in school to control outbreaks without the help of our supportive parents. Could you all please check heads and if necessary treat. The most cost effective treatment is to wash the child's hair, apply conditioner and before washing out the conditioner, comb through with a fine toothed comb (nit comb). This should be done every couple of days if live lice have been found as the eggs they lay take only 48 hours to hatch.

Remember - "there is no shame in finding headlice.... it is however shameful to do nothing about it".

After School Clubs

You should have noticed that out after school programme has restarted. This term we have on offer Football for Key Stage One children and Rugby or Fun and Games for Key Stage Two together with whole school Running club. Ace Coaching are also running a dance club on Mondays. There should be something for everyone!
