Summer Fun Week shenanigans ** SPACES AVAILABLE **...

Excitement is building amongst the Crestwood Park family for our ever-popular Summer Fun week; we do however have plenty of spaces left so please come along and join in the fun.  If you are able to attend, please return your yellow slip to either class or the office, thank-you.  Ps. We have booked good weather!!

Reminder - No After School Clubs this week...

Due to our exciting Summer Fun Week, we will not be running the after-school clubs (Rounders, Athletics and Running Club), however activities will resume week-commencing 1st July 2019, thank-you.

Swimming reminder for Year 5...

Just a quick reminder that swimming resumes for Year 5 children on Tuesday 25th June. Please ensure your child has appropriate swim-wear, a waterproof bag for wet costumes and no jewellery to be worn, thank-you.

Sports Day at The Dell Stadium...

Thank you to everyone involved in supporting the Crestwood Park Sports Day at The Dell Stadium; we all had a fabulous energetic day, with some great sportsmanship...even the rain held off for us!

Maths Workshop...ALL welcome...

Please look out for an organge flier with details of our super informative Maths workshop which is being held on Monday 1st July from 2:45 - 3:15pm.  Open to ALL Year Groups and parents/carers and we will be focusing on PLACE VALUE.

School Disco - 4th July...

It's time to trip the light fantastic and join us for a boogy at the School Disco, which is being held on Thursday 4th July.  ** SPACE STILL AVAILABLE **.  Please refer to the green letter, complete the slip and return along with the money to either class or the office, thank-you. Please note however, that for Reception and Key Stage 1, if your child would prefer for you to stay during the disco this is fine, but only 1 adult per child (apologies but we are unable to accommodate babies or toddlers, thank-you).

Science Day!

On Friday 28th June, the whole school will be taking part in Science investigation activities. All children will visit each classroom and try out different investigations.  We are sure it will be a fab day for everyone! For this special day, we are asking children to bring in an old shirt or t-shirt, ideally white, which can be written on.  These will be our 'lab coats' for the day, and will be filled with scientific vocabulary that the children will learn as part of their activities.  If you are struggling to find an old shirt/t-shirt, come and speak to us. We will be sharing what we have learnt, in our family assembly at the usual time of 2:45pm.

Year 6 Enterprise Event...

Year 6 will be holding their Enterprise Event, in partnership with Mary Stevens Hospice, which will be taking place after school on Tuesday 9th July. There will be a range of products and services on offer, so please bring along some money on this day to support them!

We are looking for Parent Volunteers!...

Helping children to become confident, independent readers is one of the most important things that a school can do - and it is an area of our work where parents, carers and other members of the community can make a big difference.

We have a small team of reading volunteers who come into our school regularly to help the children with their reading by listening to them read and talking to them about their books and reading choices.  We are always keen to hear from parents, relatives and carers who would be interested in supporting the teaching of reading by joining our volunteers. If you are interested, please speak to Mrs Hughes or Mrs Willetts in the office. Please note that regular volunteers will require a DBS certificate - we can organise this if you are interested!
