Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter!
This week has been full of activity- very well done to Year Two for concentrating so hard on their tests this week. Well done also to the School Council for conducting themselves so maturely when visiting the Mayor on Wednesday and finally, well done to the boys' football team for an amazing match away at Bromley Hills yesterday. Read more about these, further on in the newsletter.
Our Reception staff have been out and about meeting our families who will be joining us in September- we can't quite believe it is that time of the year again- the weeks are flying by so quickly! Some of you will be starting to think about your child's next class- we will let you know about staffing and transitions after half term, giving you plenty of time to ask questions etc, if you have any worries or concerns.
Today of course was all about celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. The children looked marvellous in their red, white and blue and the day was full of fun and excitement; a whole school 'street party' lunch and our outdoor assembly at the end of the day were certainly two wonderful highlights.

Avoncroft School Trip - Friday 27th May. Not long to go now.....

School Lunches on 27th May.
Please remember do not book a hot lunch that day on the app. You can either select a sandwich or baguette or send a packed lunch from home. Don't forget to send plenty to drink.
What's coming up...
Please remember to keep looking at the school calendar. It has all the key information on and saves you going back through different newsletters. As always though, please do not hesitate to ask if you are unsure of anything.
Happy Birthday to you!
We would like to say a very big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to... Dominic and Dakotah who have celebrated their birthday this week.
School Football Success!
Our amazing Football Team played their hearts out last night. Mr Barnett was so impressed with everyone. They all showed great discipline, brilliant teamwork and fantastic goal scoring.
Kayden, our goal keeper, was extremely nervous before the match as it was his first appearance. However, he soon grew into the game, started attacks and displayed good distribution. Keep an eye on this future superstar! He fully deserved the Man of the Match award.
⚽ We WON with a final score of 3-2. ⚽
🎊 Well done Crestwood Park! 🎊

Fitness Friday with Mr Barnett
Those Summer holidays aren't too far away now. Who wants to get fit?!...
Don't forget that Mr Barnett holds a fitness session on Friday mornings, just after children are dropped off. We have a really good range of equipment for parents and family friends to use and is a lovely way to have a catch-up with other parents, whilst burning a few calories at the same time! No need to book, just turn up!
Cookery Club
Cookery club has come to an end and I think everyone will agree Mrs Akthar's recipes were amazingly tasty. We hope the children enjoyed creating the dishes.
Mrs Akthar will be uploading the recipes soon so you can try them at home - keep a look out for them!

Are you someone who would be willing to volunteer your time to help develop and encourage the next generation of active citizens across the Dudley Borough? We are looking for people aged 18+ who will be positive role models for our Police Cadets. We do not need you to have prior Policing knowledge, we need people who can listen, motivate and inspire. Could you be the person who helps our Cadets reach their full potential? If so, please contact Cadet Youth Engagement Officer Michaella Evans - michaella.evans@westmidlands.police.uk for more information. School Council have tea with the Mayoress of Dudley!
The School Councillors spent Wednesday morning at Dudley Council House. They met the Mayoress of Dudley and took part in a range of debates, along with Wrens Nest School. They also conducted a presentation for Councillor Saleem on how they are going to improve recycling for our school. They were fantastic ambassadors for Crestwood Park and we are very proud of them all.

Mr Powell's TT Rock Stars
Very well done to Rosie in Year 4 who is this week's TTRS champion with over 2400 correct answers... just this week!
And finally,
Thankyou for all your support with the events we hold in school. We do appreciate that sometimes these might feel like yet more things to think about and remember- but we do them for our children and we hope that it is the days like today, that they will treasure and remember for a long time to come.
Have a good weekend all. See you on Monday.
