Non Uniform Day
You should have received a flyer (or seen our facebook message) about our Bring a Bottle non uniform day on Monday 18th.to enable us to make up a bottle tombola at our Great Get Together Picnic. Could we also ask that Crestwood Cups are also returned on this day.
We are aware that you've been sent loads of letters recently so we thought we would give you some timely reminders from these.
SPORTS DAY - 20th June : children need to go straight to The Dell and will be registered there. Children will be back in school by lunchtime but lunches will be booked on Tuesday 19th so that numbers can be given to the kitchen in advance.
GREAT GET TOGETHER PICNIC - 22nd June : Don't forget this important event. Just let us know whether you are coming. This was a great success last year and we hope you can support us again.
SUMMER FUN WEEK - w/b 25th June : last day to book places was today (Friday 15th) however we have extended this date to Monday 18th for last forms and money to be sent into school. Please make sure your child does not miss out on this exciting event.
Packed lunch from home?
Can we remind parents, if your child brings a packed lunch from home containing anything that requires a spoon to eat i.e. yoghurt, jelly etc you must also send a spoon to eat it with. Our school kitchen do not have enough spoons to provide them for children bringing a packed lunch and worse still, they are popped into lunch boxes and not returned. When you are packing lunch boxes, if you put in yoghurt or jelly please also put in a spoon.
Year 6 'Pioneers'
We are pleased to report that our Year 6 pupils have had a wonderful time over the last couple of days on their residential at The Pioneer Centre. They have tackled such activities as abseiling, zip wiring, rafting and high ropes to name but a few. Mrs Cooper reports that we have some very brave and adventurous children!
No increase for school meals
We have been informed by Catering Services that there will be no increase in the cost of school meals this year. The price of a primary school meal will remain at £2.30 in September 2018 which is extremely good value for the quality and choice of meals our kitchen staff offer each day.
Local Event for the whole family
On Saturday 1st July there's Armed Forces Day at Himley which is always a lovely event! If you are free on this day, why not go along and joint in the festivities.
