Welcome to

Crestwood Park Primary School

Be the best you can be

Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter!

What a wet and windy end to the half term and a memorable way to mark the 'half-way' point of the academic year! We finished with a jam-packed Achievement Assembly complete with AWARE SPARKS awards, golden certificates, recognition for Bikeability bikers, medals and trophies from home, certificates for cross country runners, prizes for the Flower Competition ... and the attendance trophy! We are always incredibly proud of our children, and celebrations like today are a brilliant way of sharing so many successes.

Thankyou for supporting parents' Evening so well. If you missed your appointment, please contact class teachers and they will happily rearrange, at a time to suit you. Also, if you haven't yet completed a parent/ carer survey, please do so using the link below.

Creative carnations & DIY daisies!

Thank you to everyone who supported our School Council with their Flower Craft competition!

It was incredibly difficult to just choose just 1 winner for each class- you really are a talented bunch!

Thank you to the school council for working hard for our school- it's really thoughtful of you all to want to improve our school grounds.

Together, you have have raised an £50 towards some new flowers/plants...so we will be sending Mr Oakes out with a shopping list very soon!

Just a reminder that our next Parent Voice meeting is on Friday 4th March at 9am.

You can access the agenda via the link below.

World Book Day 2022... and a message from Mrs Cadman!

World Book Day 2022

World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March. Your child is invited to dress up as a book character for the day. This year, we will be focusing on Poetry and each class will learn a poem. Also, the Year 6 Reading Ambassadors, will be preparing a treasure hunt, a competition and lots of different activities for the children to have a go at throughout the day.

Let’s bring books to life this half term. You could visit the library together, share your favourite books, practise reading poetry and even create your own stories! I would love to see your pictures of you enjoying a book together. Please email me at acadman@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk

Book fair Sales!

Thank you to all those who visited the book fair and purchased books. It was so lovely to see the children with their new books – passionate about reading them. We made a grand total of £736.32. This means we will get a healthy amount back to spend on books for school. Thank you again for your generosity.

Assemblies

We are now at the point where we can open assemblies out to all parents and carers again- this has always been a feature of Crestwood Park and it's certainly not something that is offered across all schools, so we are pleased to be able to open our doors to all.

Please don't come in if you're unwell and do continue to wear a mask if you prefer to. Thankyou.

And finally,

Hopefully the stormy weather passes us by without too much disruption and that we get to see a few blue skies over the weekend. If you're lucky enough to be at home with your children next week, then enjoy the time together.

Take care and we hope to see you all back at school on Monday 28th March, ready for another busy half term!

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the responsibility of everyone in our school and at all times we consider what is in our children's best interests. We work to ensure our children our safe and cared for and by doing this we are protecting their health and development and preventing them from harm.  If we are worried, we will raise concerns, share information and take prompt action with the aim of ensuring families receive the right help at the right time.
