Welcome to our Weekly Newsletter!
Wow today was HOT! Thankyou for sending children with sunhats and plenty of sun cream. We had a shortened 'mile walk' and we washed down the benches prior to the Father-Figure Assembly!
The children did really well at the end of the day, singing along to some classics and our celebration of all father figures was finished off with an amazing dance from Year Six. Thankyou parents, families and friends who came along to watch.
As always our weather is fairly unpredictable so please continue with hats and cream and ensure children have a named water bottle so we can keep them hydrated!
Next Friday is the Reception Class Assembly and it's another 'own clothes day' as we're asking families to donate bottles for the Bottle Tombola to raffle off at the Get Together Picnic in July. It's also Foodbank Friday - please give as generously as you can.

A message from the Pastoral Team...
Hello from the pastoral team,
We hope you have had a lovely week and have managed to enjoy the sunshine.
We have shared this website before as there are so many good things on there but this week we thought we would focus on support when your child is a fussy eater.
Hopefully there are some tips which might be helpful.
As always, we are here if you need us, you can contact the school office to arrange a call back for a chat or email spriest@crestwood-p.dudley.sch.uk.
We hope you have a safe and happy weekend xxx

Fitness Friday with Mr Barnett
Those Summer holidays aren't too far away now. Who wants to get fit?!...
Don't forget that Mr Barnett holds a fitness session on Friday mornings, just after children are dropped off. We have a really good range of equipment for parents and family friends to use and is a lovely way to have a catch-up with other parents, whilst burning a few calories at the same time! No need to book, just turn up!
Next session will be - Friday 24th June
Staying safe this Summer
Now we are starting to see some sunny weather, please ensure that children have drinks bottles and caps/sun hats in school.
If you can apply sun cream to your child before school and ensure that any creams that are sent in to school are labelled clearly.
Please be mindful that we do have children with severe nut allergies in school and as previously shared in our newsletter some brands are using almond oil in their products- please check before you send cream in. Thankyou.
Lapwood Lambs - 20th June
In recognition of Grandparents Day, we would like to invite any Grandparents of our school community for 'Tea and Cakes' on Monday 20th June.
Our 'Tea and Cakes' afternoon will be in the school hall from 2.15pm until 3.15pm.
If you would like to attend please just come along to the session on Monday - please report to the main school office on arrival.

Get Together Picnic - Friday 8th July
Everyone is invited to Crestwood Park's Get Together Picnic
After school-Friday 8th July- 3.15pm onwards
Bring a picnic or treat yourself to some of our food on offer such as our 'Taste of Asia' stall or an ice-cream if you have a sweet tooth!
A Bottle tombola and Crestwood Cups raffle will also be available!
Don't forget - Next Friday will be mufti-day in exchange for a bottle for our tombola!
*NEW* School Council Tuck Hut
On Friday 24th June, at 1pm, we will be launching our school council run 'Tuck Hut'
Money raised will go towards getting a plastic recycling bin for our school.
There will be a range of sweets on offer and all items will be 20p. We are limiting spending to 40p per child for the time being. If your child would like to buy a small chocolate bar or bag of 'penny sweets' please send them in with the exact change (either 20p or 40p). Thankyou
Any questions, children can ask their class school council rep.
Learn to play with DPA!

Caring for our Community
|
Please make sure we ALL enjoy the good weather including our furry friends, Dogs paws are sensitive to hot pavements and can blister, they can also suffer heat stroke and I think we all know by now how dangerous it is to leave dogs in cars during hot weather, even if windows are left slightly open.

Good afternoon residents of Wordsley and Kingswinford. We have unfortunately seen a rise in burglarys in and around the Wordsley area in the last two weeks. We have found that the offenders method of working seems to be snapping door locks to gain entry before searching a property for vehicle keys. High performance vehicles seem to be the preferred target. Where possible remember to keep all doors and windows to properties secure and use your alarm system. Maybe now is a good time where possible to review your security ie anti snap locks and again if possible CCTV cameras.![]() |

Throughout the last four decades, many of our dedicated volunteers have been serving communities and helping the public without being recognised for the contributions they make. Whilst everything around us changes, these volunteers are always there. This year, Neighbourhood Watch is celebrating its 40th anniversary. We would not have reached this milestone without the selfless efforts and commitment of our volunteers. Please join us by celebrating and showing appreciation to all the volunteers who help to make our communities a better place to live and work.Get involvedAs a Neighbourhood Watch Force Area Association, we are always looking for dedicated individuals to volunteer their time and skills.
